I managed to fly over the Small island off the top right of the map and also fly over the oil rigs. Is it possible to land on the rigs and is there anything on them?

The answer is simple and something I do if I want to level up; go on a sparsely populated server with like 3 players max. The chances of being sniped are far far lower.

Surely, when you have your sniper rifle and ammo, map, compas, NVG, hatchet, knifte, entrenching tool, barbed wire, food, drinks, etc. etc. etc. and you* STILL kill someone who's been in the game 30 mins then where's the justification in that? * by saying "you" I'm making a generalisation of bandits.

I would much rather say "Hi" to someone and then enjoy the interaction than shoot them in the back without having seen me. Seems people like this are in the minority. I'm guessing that it would be mostly people in the bracket of 'younger gamer' that enjoy just pulling the trigger.

+1, I was the same. Had NO IDEA what direction to go in and eventually ended up against the western edge. So some 30 mins of running I got to the air base where people were trying and failing to use the heli's :) I want to try this off-line editor mode, just to have a look around the map. But if I enable the mod in ArmA2 then the "Single Player" option isn't available. How do I start the map in the editor?

Most of the issues are ArmA2 bugs. As you know, Beta patches are coming out regularly so maybe it is being addressed.

Is there a maximum time where you can be AFK (Away From Keyboard) in the game? (other than dying of thirst/hunger) Reason for asking is that other games like BF3 only allow you a few minutes.
