Server with the most action?

Are there any of you out there who have been on a server where literally, there's atleast 1 chopper flying around, a couple of people at the nwaf or neaf fighting, people actually doing something rather than just sitting all day in a tree waiting for something. If anyone has any servers like these please do share :D

Although, don't expect to live very long unless it's whitelist, because hackers all obviously target large servers.

This post highlights a clear reason why designing DayZ as a 100% player centric online game spread over multiple servers, and devoid of any auto quest mechanic is not a good idea. Chances are the majority of the servers will be desolate as players will naturally tend to those servers where there is the most action generated solely by other players.

This will invariably leave the other servers practically unused and very boring. Further to this, the ones with the most action will also probably have the most PvP, or the longest wait times to log on. Entry-Level DayZ fans will certainly not find this appealing in the least.

Now imagine you were a semi-seasoned DayZ'er not in a clan, and you ventured on a server with just around 5-10 other players.and nothing bug zombies to shoot at or run from all day, with no interesting quests to keep your mind engaged.

Pretty soon, the game becomes exceptionally boring and the majority of players will loose interest.

No that's not what I am looking for. I'm looking for a server with organised attacks, groups and clans of bandits and heroes, people who wish to team and are there to play the game with others instead of camping in houses. CoD is basically a bunch of people calling each other faggots and campers when they're doing the same thing. So I'm not looking for COD! If I wanted Cod I would be playing it right now, but I'm not.

That's what I'm talking about. I was on 3-4 different servers, and NOTHING, literally, nothing. I have a sniper, a good gun and a neat amount of food, but it gets boring after a while if you don't have any human contact at all. Ive seen people play on servers where guys help each other fix choppers and ride around in vehicles looting stuff. But I haven't seen a chopper crash in a week, a car I haven't seen in 2 weeks not to mention I haven't seen a chopper in a month. Slowly its getting boring.

Also, I cant find any servers with 100 players(lol) mind giving me an IP?

This is what I have been saying all along (rocket... listen up!).

I really hope the developers take my warnings to heart.

They will be setting themselves up for an epic failure if they do not embed some form of non-player dependent content in the form of quests, missions and skill systems etc that keep players engaged, independent of other player involvement.

Have you considered that the lack of quests and scripted events is one of the features that makes DayZ stand out from the crowd for a lot of people?

I personally love the fact that everything that happens in game in player generated, if that changed i'd be very disappointed.

Picture an ass ugly white chick with the face of a pig in the line-up for America's Next Top Model. I am sure he would stand out from the crowd for a lot of people as well, but this does not necessarily mean it is a good thing.

Have you considered this?

Better for you to feel a bit disappointed than for a potentially epic game to end up in the gamers hall of shame.

I feel a lot of people dont get what I meant by this topic. I'm looking for some fresh excitement in a server, a breath of fresh air. I've got good gear and I can only use it on zombies... Two or three hours in the game I had nothing to do but sit between the tree's and wait for someone to show up. I even travelled 5-10 km to find someone, on 3-5 different servers. No camping sites, no vehicles, no people. Its just boring. I've seen videos from like, Frankie or JackFrags and they see so much people its insane, I'm happy if I see a goat -.-..

Sounds like you might wanna start your own clan rather than looking for one, I suggest getting a team with about 4-6 people, each of you assigned essential jobs, then join the whichever server has the most amount of players. Otherwise you might wanna join a private hive and/or server and I don't really know any.

Also, there will be tons of people happily playing and enjoying the standalone.

You cannot create something that everybody likes.

Dayz is fairly special in the way it plays and it got popular this way. Changing core mechanics wouldn't be a smart thing to do.

On the forum's homepage we have a chart that shows the current player numbers from past week, it shows what times most of the members play.

I'm the only admin, and I never play ingame. So you'll never have hackers, or abusive admins to worry about. :)

The BlurGaming servers are usually high pop and good action and good balance of bandits and survivors for all types of player interactions.
