Becoming attached to your character/loot

Recommended Posts

I've been camping in the woods for god knows how long, on the outskirts of Elektro, I have so much good loot, and I'm just too scared to venture out haha.

It's what I love about this game, I've got a genuine emotional attachment to my character, I've invested so many hours in collecting this stuff. And the fact some guy could shoot me in the back at any minute, is what makes this game so amazing and intense.

I'm planning to venture out later tonight, and I know I'm going to spend hours planning how I'm going to go about it, but the fact is, if I wanted, I could chill here and hunt/full up my water bottle in the river close by and stay alive forever. And that's also awesome. But no fun :P

I just made a thread about this lol I have a ghillie and camo svd. I also got really lucky and stumbled on an FN FAL with the night sight. I'm also afraid to venture out, at least without some backup.

just dont be one of "those peope" who rage quit after spending days getting gear only to be capped by a scrub using a marakov because they became complacent and stopped respecting peoples ability to search and destroy or zeds abilities to disable and kill.

Dude you need to chill & not take this game so seriously because when you die, and you will, you'll rage quit.

This is the reason I genuinely try to keep myself doing things and taking risks, I don't want to die but I enjoy starting the cycle over again.

I also don't always take weapons based on how effective they are at killing with my playstyle, if I did i'd probably only ever have an m14 or DMR, like today I put down my AKM with 6 mags for a remington shotgun with 16 slugs, just for a bit of a change.

ANNNNNDDDD' date=' I lost everything lol :(

Haha, damn. I had my first death late last week and lost it all, too. The worst part for me was I died and got the bug where I respawned as a male character and have been stuck male ever since. :(

I've actually quite enjoyed rerolling apart from that, though. It's kind of fun to start over with very little again and invest your time in searching for loot and becoming self-sufficient once again. I found it renewed my interest in the game even more (not that I'd lost interest, anyway, but it certainly made it more exciting)!
