Lawl. It is confirmed that joining servers with the same version of you the same problem happens. Obviously from the responses in this thread, it affects only a small portion of players. It seems your one of the lucky ones where it doesn't happen very often. Now can you please go back down to your moms basement and jerk off to your massive collection of bieber pron and leave normal people who can think properly and read alone? Thanks bud.

Why don't you go actually read the thread in bug reports about this since your so &^^@%$ clueless. You can join servers with the latest versions and still have this happen. Confirmed by many in the thread.

I used DayZ commander to filter both versions correctly and it still happened.

I have tried every suggested workaround and I have still spawned on the coast. You can't realistically play if one in every three servers does this :(

If it is an anti server hopping feature would be nice if something official could be posted in the 8+ page thread about in bug reports.

For a lot of us (check the bug reports section of the forums) we CONSTANTLY spawn on the beach (sometimes without any gear!) and despite rumor to the contrary, there is nothing you can do to fix or avoid it if it is affecting you, I have tried everything. Post by Griff should be a sticky as I bet the others affected by this bug are just as upset about the lack of updates and communication from the devs. I hadn't seen it.

When you guys announced the stand alone why did you say updates to the mod would continue as usual? Clearly the mod has been put to the wayside, which is fine and completely understandable, but you should have been honest with us and told us there would be no updates to the mod for some time. I completely supported the stand alone and paying for hard work done but I am frustrated now as I can't even play this mod and it requires relatively easy fixes as far as I can tell. If something isn't working, remove it. Just get a stable version out with no game breaking bugs and your player base would be happy until the stand alone shipped. As it is your frustrating and alienating your future player base and customers for the stand alone. Every day that goes by with no updates, and not even a reply to the extremely long threads asking about broken game systems makes me want to buy the stand alone less and less. I'm very close to the point that I will not buy it simply out of spite... Why should I give money to a developer that is treating me this way? What's to say down the road he decides on DayZ 2... Will updates completely cease on DayZ when that day comes and not a peep for weeks on end on the forums re: game breaking bugs...? I think the way you guys are handling everything is awful and your going to lose some of your customers for it.

Yeah it's unplayable. I'm pretty much waiting for the stand alone as clearly the mod has gone to the wayside.

Sorry but unless DayZ commander doesn't work the way I think it does, this isn't true. I set DayZ commander to only show servers with correct versions, and I don't think it just uses the name of the server, it actually looks to see what versions are actually being run (unless I'm wrong about that...) Anyway, with commander filtering the wrong versions, I still had this problem frequently.

We could really use an official response on this as none of the workarounds suggested actually work, believe me I have tried them all. The game is nearly unplayable with such a high chance of spawning on the coast especially since occasionally you also lose all of your gear :(.

Same think keeps happening to me so frequently it is unplayable until patch or my character is wiped on the hive or something. It's gotten worse over time for me, happens every other server now pretty much I end up on the beach. I tried dying, I have tried different arma beta patches and I use dayZ commander to filter out wrong versions...

I thought that was it, but I installed dayz commander just for this reason and had it filter our servers that were running the wrong versions. Still did not fix it :(.

Hey, I started spawning at the beach some with the most recent patch, usually I have all my gear but it happened a few times ago and I had the same problem as some others, I kept my ghillie but lost everything else. I even tried getting killed to fix it, but I keep randomly spawning at the beach. It happens nearly every other time I play now. I also see a strange blue sky as the splash screen everytime I start the game up now at the point where you first see the server page and other players on the server. It has been that way ever since I lost all my gear and got "killed" which spawned me in debug plains... Anyway, I'm pretty sure I am broken at the hive end or whatever and if an admin could reset my character or something, that would be swell. Thanks!
