Finally played Dayz, now i need help

How do i open doors, how to i pick up stuff, how do i am, is it right click? I could not find a gun. so help. I gotta get off, just answer and ill look when i get off school.

To pick up items, open tents, backpacks, check bodies and open doors you need to scroll and left click an option. You will find items in buildings, the best places to find guns are military areas like the north-west airfield barracks, and various other places. You can also find lower grade weapons in houses, churches, firestations, supermarkets, schools and pubs. You might want to visit a hospital and collect morphine and blood bags, just incase you break your leg or need to give someone else a blood bag. If you're unsure of where things are use DayZDB's map of Chernarus and study it. You may also want to watch some lets plays for DayZ and various tutorials for more information on how to play.

Keep in mind, most of your gameplay methods will have to change in standalone.

I recommend that you play the Arma 2 singleplayer tutorials. They'll get you familiar to the controls and how the game/engine works.

As others have said, play the ARMA tutorials - they'll teach you basic controls and stuff. Or you could... you know... look at the controls menu by pressing Esc.
