unclesam1313 0 Posted February 21, 2013 I can run the mod right now at about 15-20 fps, which is bearable for me, but I'm kind of worried that when the standalone is released it will be harder to run. I can't find any information on it, so does anyone know if it will be harder to run? If not, anyone have ideas or suspicions. I'm hoping it will be smoother because the files are all in one place and the whole game was created for the purpose of being dayz, not arma, rather than having to use files from three or four different file locations. Is this right, or am I just making things up?
camycamera 36 Posted February 21, 2013 it is said that it is more easier to run, because for example the z's right now have "bones" in their fingers etc, and that puts more stress on the CPU, so getting rid of things they dont need is going to increase performance CPU wise. so it will be easier to run. Jordan* 277 Posted February 21, 2013 My guess, is that it should be about the same, if not better.Pros:Better Optimization of whole gameZeds being less CPU heavyCons for lower end PC's:Improved graphics ( volumetric clouds)All Zeds spawn at once, opposed to when people are near. Hope this helped, if your PC can handle now, it should be fine for stand alone :)

root 48 Posted February 21, 2013 It will be about the same but fps will be more stable as Rocket said. I hate having 80 - 100 fps outside of cities and inside 50 - 60 (40 if rains).
