Step on the pin and it goes off.Zombie Blood - When you kill a zombie be able to use it blood to wipe on your clothes so zombies are less likely to attack you. q1p0 7 Posted February 20, 2013 You could make a stake mine with grenades and trip wire, but not sure about a standard blast mine.Also, the infection disadvantage will be greater than the infected lower detection (I don't know if this is even a possibility as the infected have not yet been defined, to us at least). Hydra (DayZ) 472 Posted February 20, 2013 The only thing I'd ever like to see that involves zombie blood: Bow and arrow/ Crossbow---> Dip your arrows/bolts in infected blood, instantly infects someone you shoot.While the shot won't kill someone outright in many cases, and in most cases that person will be able to kill you... now they've got a disease and need to look around for ultra-rare antibiotics before all of their blood is drained from their body due to the sickness. A simple booby trap would be to stuff a grenade in a tin can and pull the pin, tape/secure it to one side of a doorway, tie string around the head of the grenade and secure the string to the other side of the doorway. Someone trips the string, grenade gets pulled out of the can, 5 seconds later Boom. Alternate would be to secure the grenade itself and tie the string to the pin. Variations include putting the grenade in a box and closing the lid over the spoon, or under a dead body, anything that will hold the spoon in place until someone mess with it. I like the idea but considering the amount of trolling that's done with razor wire on some servers imagine what people would do with these kinds of explosives. The fuse could work well to give the victim a few seconds (the wiki says 4.0–5.5 seconds with an M67) to avoid certain death. When the trap is activated you hear the distinctive sound of a taught wire snapping a tin can hitting the floor and the safety spoon releasing, as long as you're paying attention you can make a run for it. Hopefully this kind of blast is reduced when you're behind hard cover but I haven't had the missfortune of having to find out.I would like to see this implemented well enough that dilligent players can disarm the trap easily (perhaps with the addition of an M67 to their inventory) or simply vault over it but players that are clumsy or reckless falling foul of it.
