How Optimized will the Standalone actually be?

I was wondering this while playing DayZ and i was getting 60+ Frames outside of Cherno on a 45 Populated server and then when i went inside i get like 20-30 frames?

How Optimized will the Standalone be?

• Will people be able to play it on low end pc's?
  
• Will Framerate be stable and not fall?
  
• How bad will the graphics look on low?
  

I think by making the graphics really bad on low setting will let people with low end pcs play, what about having an option for removing certain animations or physics to get higher fps in certain places? Like clouds or removing un-needed models around you that aren't interactive?

In one of the Devblogs or Q&A sessions, Rocket said it would be more optimized but there wouldn't really be gains due to graphical improvements. According to that, it should stay about the same, this is just speculation of course, I think it'll probably run worse on lower end PCs.

Rocket said to expect stable fps. Which means it'll eun better on lower end conputers. The low end gtaphics will probably look better than the mod's.

OT: As the other guy stated, it'll remove all the useless files from Arma and have better optimization But the "need" graphic upgrades will throw us back to 45 FPS.

given my experience with their games over the years *ahem* suppose nearly decades now, i'd ecpect that it will probably be about 3 maybe4 years after release will you finally be able to buy a computer that will run the game, heck, Arma 2 lay gathering dust on my shelf for years, cause what is low end now, was high end when the game released and it ran terrible even then tbh, still does to a certain extent now, even with current gen high end pc's..

Stop throwing needless insults. It doesn't make you cool.

I built my own computer and have spent roughly 2.2k on it, while recording I get the same frames as not. But having 45FPS isn't horrible, but the random frame dropage to like 1FPS in Vehicles and such is horrible.

I saw it just two weeks ago. It wasn't planned or anything, it just came on TV. One of the most engrossing films I've seen for years! Good stuff. :>

I built it for 1.5k a yearish ago (GTX 560), and then this Christmas I put in another ~$750ish (2x Radeon 7950's xCrossfire). There was no real change besides frames dropping to 1FPS less often.

Arma 2 is weird like that. I know of people who get 60+ fps everywhere with 7770's, and then people who struggle to get 40 in fields with 7850's.

I guess some people get lucky, and some get unlucky. I've seen people on here with i5 3570k's and GTX 670's and not being able to maintain 30fps. Let's hope this kind of thing is ironed out for the SA.

i have a 3750k and a 670 and i still maintain playable fps (40+) at 1440p (2560x1440).

And then there's people like me with a GTX 680 who struggle to get 30 FPS in cities... without even maxing out.
