It is possible to play using an iphone as a wifi hot spot, i know someone who plays like this. Not sure how much data it is an hour but he gets 300ms pings on servers in the UK, he lives in the UK.

60Mb/s connection shared with a boy on watching cartoons on netflix, a girl streaming music in her room and a wife constantly watching youtube. no problem when i play dayz.

OP is asking for a rough estimate of data down/upload while playing as the contract for his iphone has a set data allowance.

upload speed is important. if you cap that, doesnt matter how much download you have, it will bottleneck.

i am fortunate to live in a region that is very innovative for internet services. 60 Mb/s down and up

i used to host a 50-man mumble clan server on my server in the basement - that's like a Keg of internet.

try living with a GF and 2 kids, 2 P.C.'s a laptop, an Ipad, and 3 mobile phones all hooked up. I have to play DayZ when they are all out and I have 100mb (Virgin)

Virgin, I feel for you man, i had Virgin and i would get better internetz when hooking up a shoelace to my pc and leaving anything Virgin related outside in the rain as far away from my pc as possible.

Im pretty sure it uses the whole of the internet
