    Exp Update: 0.53.126370

Anyone else got stuck in throwing animation (with ice axe) and when canceling simply entered unconscious state while still being able to perform all actions apart from getting up and moving? Also the screen did not black out. Already reported on feedback tracker. Sadly couldnt log out and back in to check if its resolved that way. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=21008

Status Report - Week of 05 Jan 15

Glad to hear news about the successor to SQF. I would love to hear more details about this new scripting language. What interests me most though is if you created your own or if you went with something existing. In case of the latter what language are we talking?

    SHIT/PISS SYSTEM V1.2

Absolutely not! But its definitively a funny read. Just the amount of occurrences of the word piss and shit alone... :)

    Realistic gun mechanics like Reciever

I am a sucker for realism in 'games' (this is serious god damn it!) as well and last time I checked DayZ is supposed to cater to a very specific group of people that like their games brutal, unrelentless and unforgiving. In short they are expecting a hardcore gaming experience. So with that in mind I absolutely think that realistic gun part mechanics beyond 'press R to reload' should be part of the game. Make it a server switch so server admins have the choice if you must, but do implement this. Here is a more concise clip demonstrating the receiver gun part mechanics:
  6. Wasn't sure where to post this: I am not sure if this was suggested before but after playing Receiver I feel DayZ should feature realistic gun mechanics beyond 'press R to reload' in a way that you can manipulate every/the most important parts of your gun independently. Have a look at this for clarification:
  7. I fear that might be detrimental to your goal because running a sophisticated google search uncovered that bodies in water in fact take longer to decompose than when left to rot over ground in an air-rich environment.
  8. Well according to Matt SA servers won't be needing restarts to maintain performance so there will have to be a different sort of (perhaps temporal) trigger for corpses to disappear. Matt Lightfoot: source: http://dayzmod.com/f...80#entry1324260
  9. After glancing over your suggestions it in fact appears some of them have their equivalent in the paper brought forward in this thread but I wouldnt exactly make them out to be 'many'. :) Though true enough all intersecting points are fleshed out in much greater detail then they are in your thread. I also agree with you that all issues raised are worth a careful consideration by the makers of SA and in fact lets do hope Rocket takes his time to attentively sift through this amazing compilation of goodness. :beans:
  10. Wow guys you have done some amazing work on this. I really hope rocket takes his time to carefully read through this. I am only as far as the physiology/medical part but I am entirely absorbed!
  11. Rocket never wanted the DayZ forums to happen in the first place. He had to be convinced. He also feels reddit is a better place for a discussion to take place. Rather then to complain and feel entitled be grateful it exists at all.
  12. @matt Thanks for this devblog. What I was wondering now for a long time and that hasn't been answered anywhere: Will SA servers require frequent restarts as in multiple times per day (24hrs) ? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

    Quick question about beans.

    I like beans.
  14. Apologies for my (potential) ignorance but will there a dev blog tomorrow?

    Best Dayz PC £100-£250

I am a trainee (very soon to finish yay ^^)in a small company selling PCs, Notebooks, other IT-related stuff along with providing IT-services to end customers mostly and I see a lot of those cheap ass PSUs getting returned after they blew up and f'ed up other parts in the process. Buying that kind of component might have a happy ending but chances are it won't. Anyway I am not disputing that you are within my provided specs. But I must admit don't like AMD CPUs much. Kind of a blind spot there for me. :)
