Pilot Helmets. Thoughts?

Hello all, As a member of TMW i do ALOT of flying in choppers, its the easiest way to get around but seen as i fly so much, it give me the opertunity to really look at the flying mechanics and things that revolve around it, and in this case, pick at something that i think is kind of odd.

When you get into a helo as a pilot, your HUD is instantly filled with Altitude, Speed, and What direction your facing on the compass, i find this a little unrealistic. so here is my idea!

Take away all that and just give them a regular HUD, And if they wana read the things above, they have too look at there instruments.

Pilot helmets as a lootable item, Military obviously, and maybe you can always find atleast one in every fresh spawned heli.

The pilot helmet will allow them to have the old Pilot HUD giving them alt and speed, ect ect...

As far as it goes gear wise, maybe it takes up the binocular/range finder slot, allowing the pilot to still equip NVG's.

Thoughts?

I agree, helicopters are ridiculously easy to fly.

In a perfect world, we'd have DCS: Black Shark level simulation for the helis and other vehicles... my eyes shine at the thought.

You'd actually have to read all those instruments.

Hello there

Remember that military helmets have to have the correct kit to plug into. So trying to use a Kamov pilots helmet in a LB just wont work Hudwise.

I would like to see sim levels of realism in aircraft in game, but I think that's hoping for too much. Although, I still like ToH's goodness expanded on and in game.
