DayZ Scenario: Would You Kill or Help

These interesting situations are usually the rare ones in which ill roll the dice and be friendly. If no communication and I came across him wounded id probably put him down quick, but that he reached out and communicated without shooting first then id be willing to give him a shot.

Assuming he is bleeding, I'd just bandage him and drop a morphine off around the corner for him to get and also giving me time to get away from there.

What's the point of getting geared up in the first place if you're just going to avoid your usual interactions? :huh:

You can't let what gear you have dictate what kind of player you are.

I understand folks are less bothered when they're just a fresh beachlander, but it's all the same to me.

In fact, since I'd be more able to defend myself, I'd probably be more confident going in geared up.

Regardless if he's geared, I'd still help. I know I could risk a life if he were to shoot me because you could always spawn in again and get the same items as easily as anyone else can :)

Depends on the first impression I get from the person; terrible grammar, 14 year-old or even a dumb name could mean the guy gets shot in the face. Any use of 'm8' equals instant death.

I'll go for the sniper out of personal interest though, unless I have something more important to do.

Shoot him in the head, in this game i do whatever it takes to advance in my characters gear "progression". And like another player said, if you don't know me or in skype/teamspeak, chances are you are going to die.

Well, I have a little story:

I recently spawned on a private hive, a bandit sniper hit me when I was in Elektro city (the upper part), I crawled to the Hospital with hope.

Than I saw two other players, before they seen me I asked them for help, I didn't offer them nothing, and they gave me Morphine and a Bloodbag.

After they helped me I stayed alive, as of now I'm still alive, and it was over two months ago.

Since than, I never shoot on sight, I always give a chance, and if the player is friendly I ask if he needs anything, if it's food, water, medical supplies or ammo and help him.

The gear I've got is nothing to be excited about, if I die then I respawn and try again, if I manage to get the morphine, then I get free gear out of it.

DayZ is about making your own fun. If I was to just leave him, or kill him, that wouldn't be that fun to be honest.

I'd be tempted, but I'd like the odds of 2vs1 against the ghillie, the Dmr being my favourite gun is to tempting. Nothing to lose, not gonna lie would i be a dick in saying... dream scenario would be ghillie guy taking out morphine guy then me picking off the ghillie after revealing himself.

I'd help - if I thought I'd been spotted, I'd do a bit of reccy first to make sure I wasn't about to get facef*cked by a DMR. Traps aren't that common, but I'm still pretty cautious!

i'd maybe see if he can give me a decent gun and tell me where abouts the shots were coming from, then I would try to hunt the sniper but if I get him or not would probably help the guy but if he does anything suspicious he's dead

My missus and child were killed by zeds soon aftet the infection started, I've wandered the wilderness aimlessly and I have nothing left to live for. I welcome the oportunity to test that bitch fate once again.

Just out of interest i have a little scenario (which isn't really uncommon - i have come across it a few times) and i ask you: What would you do and why?

You are creeping towards Cherno after having just recently spawned. You have managed to find a hatchet and a Makarov. As you enter Cherno you hear DMR shots from within - a sniper.

As you are moving through the city you suddenly hear a call on Direct Chat - someone has been hit, has broken legs and is asking for help. You manage to locate the player - his is in an alley and looks pretty geared up. He asks if you have morphine as he has run out. He then asks if you would go to the hospital and get some - in exchange he will give you a ghillie, a good gun (doesn't say what) and a GPS.

To get to the hospital you have to run the gauntlet of the DMR sniper as he is camped somewhere and killing anything that he sees.

My question is simple - what would you do? Help the player by risking yourself to get some morphine. Leave him. Or would you simply kill him and take the ghillie, gun and GPS? Anything else.

Basically i want to see who is a bastard and who isn't. ;)

Sorry, general questions like this have been asked before, but yet again i am bored at work.

Dont get close and dont help, The injured player could be bait left by a sniper to draw in victims. The injured player could even be in league with the sniper either getting you to come into the snipers cross hairs or sending you to the hospital where the sniper is waiting for you

Cherno + Elektro are always full of lame assed new-spawn campers and bandits. I personally wouldnt be that far south in the first place :)

At least you're straight forward and don't bother with the insulting bullshit of ''I sure am friendly'' Maybe it's just me but I have either marked you in the deads or I'm just gonna help you out. Theres no f*gg*t talk in between but I assume people lying because their skill is just as low as themselfs.

I would help. As long as he would give me just the gun first so that I had a way for defending myself instead of constantly clicking just to hit a zed with my hatchet.
