Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted February 11, 2013 Check this linkIts a repost from a previous post on these forums & its very descriptive.I understand exactly how the loot/item/drop system works, but even I was unable to read that post and comprehend it. (skim-reading)Basically, though;Bodies don't disappear until you restart the server.Items you drop on the ground don't disappear until you restart the server. You CAN check the same building for loot multiple times. You just have to be at a distance from it for about 10 minutes for the loot to respawn.
bigdogsco 143 Posted February 11, 2013 Once you breach a 50m radius loot will spawn at any EMPTY loot spots in a building. If the loot spots have anything (even tin cans) then nothing new will spawn for 2 hours. You can pick up the trash loot and ditch it outside. Go away for 5 minutes and then come back. New loot should have spawned.
_Anubis_ (DayZ) 139 Posted February 11, 2013 From what I can understand by looking at the code (I may be wrong) you have to be within 30 and 120 meters for +10 minutes and then the loot inside the building is re-generated (what is empty is filled and what is not empty is replaced, always randomly according to the %).You do not need to remove the trash. It will be replaced anyway._Anubis_
