Just wondering if dayz will be made for the steam box aswell.

If not i suggest you make it for linux at some point.

Well seeing as the steam box is basically a PC yes, if you install windows onto it anyway, no idea if any plans will be made for the SA to support linux. (If that's what's still shipping with the steam box)

Will the Steam Box be able to handle DayZ without looking like shit?

That is down to what the specs for the final product will be, as far as i know that's not yet announced.

Im using windows myself, but i hope that valve can make it with their plans for linux.

Would be nice to have a os dedicated to tv gaming for the pc.

Whether it ships with Linux or a new Valve OS, it's in everyones best interests to allow the steambox to play games in their primary format.

GabeN isn't a n00b of the industry. I'm sure it'll be taken care of.

As for hardware and compatibility. That remains to be seen.

I'd be very surprised if their new machine doesn't run DayZ SA.

EDIT:

I'd suggest putting a suggestion in your suggestion topic.

Steam Piston will be about $1000 last I heard, so yes, it can handle ArmA II.

A decent snowboard and bindings will set you back $1000 or more, and I don't think THAT would run ArmA 2.

There's a bit more to it than the price-range.

We currently don't have enough information to say for sure.

Playing on a 43`` samsung tv with a amd a-series x8-3870k rig.

Make a $500 pc, and you got yourself a steam box :P

My pc is plenty good for most games i play. I just like the idea of the steam box and hope it will be a great success.
