Whats your luckiest moment?

Mine is someone gave me a free chopper because they were logging off so i took it, picked up one of my friends and decided we would go loot stary. well we got there i landed the heli told him i had to make a phone call to my grandma and wish her happy birthday. well i told him to go ahead and head into town, i would meet with him in a minute. i proceed to make the phone call and i take off my headset and start talking to grandma and what i see is a bandit strollin up next to me and my heli. the bandit had an akm and i only had a double barrel with slugs... well i tell my grandma ill be right back. I start panicking and ask my friend in skype if thats him. he freaks out and starts yelling NO THATS NOT ME. so the bandit starts shooting at me with an akm and i get an extremely lucky shot and hit him and he gets knocked out. i run up to him and give him a chance to put his gun on the ground and run and he tried to shoot me again. i shoot him in the face and get an akm without a scratch on me.

A hacker spawned the entire server into some forest.

Sure enough, people were panicking and pointing guns at each other, until some of them couldn't handle the pressure and everybody started shooting each other in self-defense and chaos.

I was unarmed, besides for a hatchet, but I didn't even use that as somebody next to me died, and all I did was go lay under his body. Corpses work like brick walls in ARMA 2, meaning, even though some people tried shooting me from under the other guy's body, I took no damage, and was able to abort safely. 10 minutes later I wanted to take my chances, and I got a whole bunch of free loot.

I once watched as a helicopter was hit with a high powered rifle and pretty much nosed dive into the ground right next to me. 2 dead bodies later and i was fully geared up and ready to go.

Playing Dayz 2017 on its release day, I got knocked down with a broken leg from a Lee Enfield shot. I was completely unarmed. As the guy retreated from the resulting aggro, I crawled behind a wall... and worked my way along it. Finally, as I got close to a hole in the wall, I heard crawling and I froze. I thought it was a zombie, but then I saw the guy with the Enfield crawling through my exit route. Thankfully, the dirty gray 2017 soldier camo skin and the dirty gray "college" pack must've made me look like a pile of rocks, a dead zombie, or one of those dead soldiers you see lying about because he crawled 1 meter to my left... crouched, looked around and then walked passed me, back the way I'd come. When he was far enough away, I continued through the hole in the wall and waited for him to leave.

Second luckiest thing - which just happened a couple of days ago, was finding a fresh spawned Little Bird near the factory in Cherno my first time on a particular private server. It was night and nobody else was on, so I spent a couple hours fixing and fueling it up, armed only with a hatchet (take that 1.7.5.1 zombies!), flew to Stary, NWAF and Vybor; got a Coyote pack, Ghillie Suit, and an M14... and then stashed the heli in a good spot. I still have it. :)

My friends and I acquired a chopper on a server, and they decided they were going to go to bed, so they suggested we land on skalicity. I thought that was a pretty bad idea, but I went with it anyway because I wasn't the one who found the chopper. Anyway, I was running up a hill to go log off, and as I peek over the hill I just see the blades of another helicopter parked no further than 150m from ours.

when i accidentally ejected from a chopper the first time riding one in dayz and halfway down a m136 hit the chopper and the guys in it died, i got pretty decent gear after barely managing to take out the m136 guy as he moved in to kill me and loot the others, also got his gaz

I started playing on more populated servers last night. Spawned in at Kamenka, and within five minutes of searching the crappy spawn houses there I found a Ghille suit. What a find!

Started to head north and stumbled across an Off Road Pickup hidden down a side banking, full of cooked meat, a DMR with three mags, and other lovely things. Promptly stole and stashed away the Off Road in a more secure location. Good times.

i wouldn't say it was particularly lucky but i was playing on orgins and the server was pretty packed, i went to the air field near sabina, saw a mi-8 right at the end by the 3 industrial hangers but it was broken, i spent about 4 hrs fixing it up and then crashed it into the city trying to get it closer to the fuel tank, i thought 'well that sucked' so i went back to get my body and then back to the air field to see it had respawned, spent another 3 hrs fixing that one up and then crashed it into a forest..

i think the lucky part of the whole ordeal was that i, not once, ran into anyone during that whole debacle, even though the server was at over 30 players the whole time.

might have to try it again sometime, but i think ill refuel it more than those previous tries.

there was a day during 1.7.2.5 or 6 where the loot must of been bugged but i remember going into the bottom shop in berezino and found like 4 ghillies just sitting there, i nabbed 2 and quickly gtfo.

then again on namalsk found a uh1 on a hill, told the guys in side that i had found a working chopper, went to pick 2 guys up who actually killed me for the chopper, after the server restart they pulled me into a skype convo and for the rest of the night we went around baiting ppl and looting, it was a good bit of fun. a nice change from solo play.

I threw a grenade, then it bounced back and killed me.

Wasn't my luckiest moment but it was everyone else's luckiest moment, because if that grenade wouldn't have killed me it would have caused a nuclear explosion which would have erased Chernarus from existence.

Found a mountain dew in Berezino's apartments, aware of the myth saying, finding one is good luck, carrying one is bad luck. I drank it right away even if not really thirsty.

Once at the top floor, I find a dead camo dude with an AS50, M9 SD, Alice pack and pretty much all equipments including NV goggles. I was so hyped.

So thrilled, I wanted to leave the city as soon as possible, hesitate and finally decide I should at least get some morphine before booking it out.

As soon as I leave the apartement, I have a zombie train chasing me, I see a wooden barrier, decide I would epicly break their path finding with a combat roll.

I combat rolled, but didn't get over the fence... a zombie caught up, instantly broke my leg (i wasn't full on blood), I passed out, try to bandage once awaken even though I knew I was done and died, mauled by the angry mob.

So I don't know if it was because I was carrying the M.Dew in my belly somehow, or was it the NV goggles, I always die 15min after I find a pair.
