boobi traps

Recommended Posts

i see the game has alot of emty can laying arround

why not give the option if you ate your beans and happens to have a grenade then be given the option to pull the pin in the grenade and put it in your emty can with a string tied to it or the ability to place the can in a tree

That's a good idea indeed, so it would trigger when the guy who picked up the can tries to open it ?

Also, your signature is kinda outdated.

Anyone else wander into this thread because they misread the thread topic for "boob traps"?

Completely agree. I wanted something like this since beginning and I'd expand beyond boobie traps. ACE mod has many cool exploding toys like -

tiny pack of C4. Not as powerful as ingame satchel but exactly up to the job. Just place at door as your back up and voila, zeds or player done. Timed or remotely detonated, to your service.

So many possibilities and all it woul take I believe would be just reduce the current damage radius of satchels. Or just model such tiny item.

Do definitely want!!

Defo want boobies for standalone. Oh yeah, the traps too. Trip wire + Empty cans = Alert system?

I think boobies are great. But as for this topic...

I think SA could implement this kind of thing but we need to remember the true nature of them. They were designed to maim not kill. This is to cause 2 soldiers a major problem.

In standalone this could take the effect of breaking your legs or making you pass out. Actual damage would be really nasty only if fatal, which I would not like since that's kinda unfair if it's really really well hidden, but maybe that's just me.

@Shadow - I'd leave it up to devs and how they implement it. The thing is there is always push for more realism and or to make the game even harder but I feel so many features are missing yet they are realistic and mostly not even hard to implement. IMO that is. Balancing issues and gameplay concerns are completely understandable but IMHO theres no excuse for not having at least some kind of simple explosives and other ''home made'' traps.

what i mean is use an emty can or simular opject to hold the safety on the grenade inplace when someone trips the wire the can will fall down causing the grenade to fall out and boom

in ace mod i use the small binding mines and it works for namalsk zombies and undead mod zombies or other players

Why would you want to trap my blue-footed boobies?

It's pretty creative, although if it ends up like Barbwire, I don't want in.

well with metal scraps a tin can and a handgrenade, i'd say pretty much every person could make a boobie or wire-trap

would be a way to protect your shit from those lone-wolfs running through miles of forrest searching for tents
