bilbey 17 Posted February 6, 2013 Another suggestion, one which i have often thought about when i have not had any wheels. What if characters physically progressed. In such ways like...Fitness Levels (run for longer)Pace (running faster)Strength (weight affects the character less)Dexterity (relode speed, crawl speed, roll speed, vault speed)Also, jumping and small scale climbing would be a good idea in my opinion. (i DONT mean free-runnning)Jumping to clear fences.Small scale climbing for getting vantige points. (small buildings/trees)Perhaps, a new character could start with random values like real people would have. You might get lucky and start with someone with a bit of fitness. Or unlucky, start with a character slow and unfit. Maxing out these values would take months of game time. And things like blood loss and leg breaks and fainting could decrease individual stats. CreepySalad 108 Posted February 6, 2013 Many have suggested. Most have disliked it.It's alright. It just doesn't fit in a game like this.
Fitzkrieg 129 Posted February 6, 2013 For the addition of animations I'm all for, there is a mod for Arma 2, that adds so many new animations to the game. Like, climbing over wall, actually vaulting, and flicking people off. I like those ideas, however, the idea of character progression is nice, but it may be nicer to have only on a basic level, like if you're healthy and are alive for a long time, you're endurance will be better = longer running/faster running. However if you're unhealthy/underfed/dehydrated/hurt you'll be slower and/or not run as far.a.k.a. I like what you're saying, so I put my opinion!

After all, the general simplicity of this game is what makes it so good!
Jars (DayZ) 63 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) I think it does fit into this game , but the process would be extremely long .Providing you were able to live long enough , your body would undergo physical changes like gaining stamina from all the running , maybe some strength ( assuming you had a relatively decent diet ) but I don't think much else would change .There is no reason small gains couldn't be made over very long periods .Of course , all this could be offset by lasting injuries , if major wounds are suffered . joe_mcentire 2074 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) Many have suggested. Most have disliked it.It's alright. It just doesn't fit in a game like this.BUT as i remember a poll in a skill thread... it was about 60/55% to 40/45% against skills... so a vast majority is something different Edited February 6, 2013 by joe_mcentire
