Hey!

So i've started WarZ october 31 and been playing ever since but i'm sick and tired of all those hackers sooo now i decided to start this one.

Hard one.

But at any rate, just do the same things you used to do in WarZ, since it's a bad quality copy of DayZ.

If hackers were your only issue with the WarZ, then stick to Whitelisted servers so you can avoid them here.

You'll be in for a treat.

I think the best thing you can do is go to youtube, and watch videos. I don't have either games, and that's what I've been doing. I only watch warz videos to laugh at how terrible that game is. I love Dayz. I need it damnit all.

DayZ is pretty much the same as WarZ, since WarZ is a complete rip-off of DayZ. DayZ is harder than WarZ though and there's more zombies.

Just remember beans and pine trees are your best friends, and you'll be fine.

You will find many familiar things because WarZ copied DayZ (badly). Be prepared to find out how a game should be made. It's a much harder game with a lot more depth so you should be prepared to die quite a lot while you learn how to survive.

Also, later today the devs are posting some gameplay footage from the new Standalone game that is being developed so keep an eye out for that, it should be interesting.

Hello there

Make your you get practice in Arma2 so you know how the avatar control works etc before diving in.

There's no issue in having enjoyed Warz IMHO, just keep any warz chat to the warz thread.

Have fun!

If you want a server that is 99% hacker proof, has its own community(good one), a lot of heroes, a lot of bandits, apply to be whitelisted at balotabuddies.net

I have played at BB for a month now, and feel like I never want to play on another server.

Edit: also has some finnish people on it besides myself :P

not really, supermarkets are good for food and a better backpack, airfields are were you can get awesome weapons.

Tents allow you to horde.

you restore health by eating or blood bags, cooked steak gives 800 blood so getting matches, axe and a hunting knife are a priority.

you can legit be sniped from 1KM and guns are close to real ife i.e shooting from the hip is useless, scopes are real, bullet drop is a real thing.

also Zombies are fast in DayZ but once you cut their line of sight they can only detect you via sound.

basically if you have 100 zeds after you in a town do a couple of laps through the buildings and you should lose them after a while.

Theres a great thread that can get you started.

http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/10051-index-of-helpful-threads/

Also I've found DayZWiki to be helpful as I'm pretty damn new myself. My generic advice I have used in other threads:

Find a hatchet...quickly. It kills Zeds quietly. Once you find a super duper sniper rifle with "see a fly on the wall at 1200M" scope. Dont use it on new spawns on the beach.

Dont go running into a town without scouting it for a few minutes. Always keep your eyes open and stick to the trees as much as possible.

Find a whitelisted server to avoid hackers. Have fun, don't be a douche. :)

Also, if you're going to head more inland, make sure you have a good amount of water. If you can find the small military camps, they have good supplies and so does the airfield, but you should watch out around them, since bandits usually camp around them.

I have played DayZ for several months now. In those several months I have ran into maybe six hackers. As someone else suggested go to www.balotabuddies.net. It is a great community with a lot to offer to all play styles.

Also, don't forget to read all the stickies. Not just for the rules, there's good wholesome info there too. it'll put hairs on your chest.
