Here's a printable page of all your controls. I made this for new players a while back.

I posted this in a thread ages ago. Most or all of it is still accurate.

Hope it helps.

Phrases like Single Player, Campaign, Armory, Boot Camp come to mind but.

Just dont ask what 'key' for jump, eh :P

"<" ">" change "channels" and / is the chat-line-thang. holding cap locks turns on your mic for ingame comms but Id recoomend NOT talking if sidechannel, just direct. Heard whispers that it'll lag the server and everybody goes full-retard when someone talks on side

I know you guys are just trying to be helpful but....

Why can't he go to the God damn settings and look it up himself? Either he's a moron or have the attention span of a fucking goldfish.

I dont want to fight with you but honestly why do you care?

Most peeps told him the same thing you jsut said but were polite. Others pointed him to threads where he can learn these things. Is there so little civility left in the world?

He is new to this game, I helped him get Arma 2 working yesterday. Cut him some slack, if there are some people that want to help, let them.

Thanks,

you don't happen to know what the salute key (backslash) is on european notebook keyboards, do you?

I don't really have an extra key for that.

I wanted to just add that you need to get a mouse or change your settings if your trackpad is touchy. Don't know if its a specific brand or if it was only isolated to the few people I ran into, but everyone I've met that uses a track pad ends up accidentally firing their weapons trying to use the menu system. Sometimes it results in me losing some blood, sometimes it ends with every zombie in ear shot coming our way. Unless you're out in the middle of the forest, firing even one bullet in this game can have consequences.

Also, anyone that ever asks what a certain key might be needs to just go into the options and look. The cool thing is, you can use the menu to just see vehicle controls, on foot controls etc. I did it right after I started playing and saw quite a few things I would have never even known about had I had done this.

Not too sure. On some European keyboards, The backslash is on the left hand side, beside the shift.

But can't speak for what key would activate that command on your machine specifically. Sorry.

There are lots of European players on this forum so someone can probably help you.
