Why hey there ya'll, i need some help, should i buy ArmA 2 CO or just wait for SA (i think it will probably come out late march or after everest trip?)

and is it still worth it to buy arma 2 CO for dayz?

Id buy now. The mod is relatively stable (SA may not be), SA won't necessarily have all the feature people presume it will have upon release, it will give you some basic experience of the game and even after SA comes out the mod will remain active and will still have various different flavours (different maps, modes, mods) available for variety which SA won't. I also think the mod will continue to be the testing ground for various community driven inclusion to SA too.

In addtion to that, Arma 2 and its addons are pretty awesome alone! For me it's worth the £20 or so.

But yes, it's completely worth it. You're buying a game for a mod, try remember there's an entire game for you to discover.

I am in the same boat ...do I or don't I start dayz mod?

If the standalone is out in the next few months I will wait if its 6 months or more then I will be in on the mod but at present stuck in limbo.

Arma 2 CO is on offer on steam just bought it for a buddy!
