Anything to block Zeds

I'm sure there is talk about barricade and what not but I'm serious in my desire for something that actually keeps zombies out. I'd love to be able to build a secure base camp not only from bandits but from zombies. It would be great to be able to set up near populated areas or airfields and not have to constantly fend of zed. Also Barricades for buildings to keep out zombies and other players from accessing a building you are in. Any thoughts?

Barricading would be a welcome addition but i think the problem was that the server would get overloaded with barricades, wire fencing etc etc. This was one of the reasons Rocket has said that bases will probably be underground and instanced.

I remember the old days (well they still exist) of crap-tons of wire fencing that created artifacting everywhere. You could always find bases by following the direction that it was coming from.

I have found that tents keep zombies out fairly well. Where as zombies will just no clip through barbed wire and sandbag walls.

Zombies should spawn everywhere, stopping you from cordoning off areas, Even spawning in buildings as I am sure lots of players in the SA will want a house of their own. all those new enterable buildings should be death traps.

If it is possible to block zed access, there whould be large crowds of them around the blocked areas, highlighing something of interest to other players and inevitably Snipers. A target is a target.

Zeds already spawn in buildings though. If you're saying that they should spawn in there even after you've cleared it that's unrealistic. Zombies don't just spawn out of thin air. To elaborate on the barricading aspect, obviously if you attract a lot of attention the zed can horde and attack your barricade and bring it down. I don't think they should be invincible I just think they should bea piece of mind that you aren't going to be snuck up on or overwhelmed.

What? Where do they spawn in buildings? Ive been playing since release and never seen a zombie spawn inside a building. I've seen them chase you into and follow into buildings but never spawn in one.

Yes currently they spawn out of thin air. In fact when you enter an area wih buildings you can see them pop out of nowhere sometimes.

Well yeah if you want to get technical but they spawn pretty far out so i dont see it happen often but thats because the game would lag if they already existed. There is so much code going on so the server can connect to your local connection and help take the load of the server itself. Not the point though, i cant tell you how many times ive run into a building and there is a zombie chilling in it with no one to be seen

I played in a Namalsk server with base building, and the whole damn island had a 'Great Wall of Namalsk' dividing it. It was bloody ridiculous !
