Increase FPS?

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I have just started playing this game and I love it despite the fact that after running a million miles to get to where you wanted to go you just shot on sight and have to do it all again

Anyway, I am having massive problems with my FPS whilst playing and it has many times got me killed

I am playing Dayz on my 2011 MacBook Pro in Bootcamp

Windows 7 Pro

8GB RAM

2.3 GHz Quad Core i7

AMD Radeon HD 6750M

This should run the game no problems right?

When I am running round in the woods and some of the less populated areas I get roughly 15 fps sometimes up to 20

When I go anywhere near a town etc it drops dramaticly probably averaging 10 - earlier on I was getting 5,6,7 fps and that DID get me killed, roughly 5-6 seconds before I knew I was actually dead

I have already edited the two config files in the ArmA2 folder and it had no effect and these are my ingame video settings

What is there I can do?

(On a side note also, why can I run into almost every single town in the map and spawn no loot what so ever, then another player runs in and it all spawns then I get killed because there round and I'm trying to grab stuff)

Thanks

Turn visibility down, turn Vram to default, put shadow detail and HDR on low, turn down terrain settings.

visibility is limited on the server side in dayz

so even though u may change it in settings, in game u wont see any difference

Sigh, no wonder the FPS was bad, turn the visibility down the bottom, HDR to low, Shadows to low, Vram to default,
