Im afraid you are wrong there. There are many front line women, also in the air force (i specifically remember F-15E units), they are also in the AH-64 units, many air roles. I personally have worked alongside women JTAC's somewhere warm and sandy, and there was plenty of lead in the air. They are just as capable.

Why is it an option for servers NOT to have girl characters available? Let the lesbian comments fly (sigh) but I'm a chic and most people who get to know me think its cool there are a few lady dayz'rs out there - why do I have to play as a dude?

Don't ask me, a lot of players like to play female characters for obvious reasons ( 99,9% players who bought / will buy tomb raider are male ) so i wonder why they have ben removed...

Never said they aren't capable. Just said that no country(With not so much fact though). Until now I hadn't heard any country allowing women to be on the front line where soldiers die.

I'm not looking for historical reason - the game has an option to have a girl character - I paid for the damn game just like you did, but the majority of servers have shut off the option to have a girl character. If it werent an option it would be a no brainer and nothing I would mention but there ARE people out there who want to play girl characters - again - who paid GOOD MONEY for the game and aren't getting what was offered.

Some servers have done that yes, but isn't that there right to have their own rules on their own servers they pay their own money to keep up? If you got an opinion about it, then talk to the owner of that server. The server I'm on also shut that option off because people started to whine when they couldn't use ghillie suit if they had a female character skin. And you say you don't care for the ghillie suit, but trust me the world isn't spinning around you and what you think. Other people do exist too you know.

Short said, their servers, their rules, don't like them? Look for a new server. If you can't swim, don't jump into the pool.

Also, the thread is useless since they WILL fix the bugs around the female skins. No need to go radical feminism on it all.

Why make the suggestion when the idea is already there? Obviously they have thought to having femae characters in the game since they actually put that option into the game. You are just whining because some servers(Nothing that the devs can control) turn of that option. So your "suggestion" is invalid, you HAVE choice to play on a server that gives you the option to play a female character, no one is forcing to play on one server that doesn't have the option.

^^It's not meaningless, it's perfectly okay to complain about how many private servers are removing good content from the game. If one or two private servers removed friendly fire it would be okay, but all private server systematically began removing friendly fire, you'd see a lot of threads about that topic too.

There's a few reasons I can think of why they are disabled.

Either because PvP players can't wait the four extra seconds it takes to load up and click on the selection screen or because the selection screen can be exploited to spam respawn to select a better spawn point. I find it annoying when you see someone killing himself over and over 3-4 times in less than 10 seconds.

Someone compared the male and female skin side by side and they are virtually the same size, so it isn't about hitboxes, it's not about females not being able to use ghillies/camo, because that's the choice you're forced to accept at the moment, when you chose a female skin.

I think it's BS too, but since we're talking about private servers, it's difficult to do anything about it.

My partner was annoyed when the chick skin disappeared and so was i because i had got used to seeing her as 'her' and now she is some shady looking dude with sideys that i just cannot click with. No need for the skin to not be available atm.

Go find a server with female skins activated and enjoy yourself there, because the developers of DayZ can't do much with private hives that have them disabled, so making a suggestion wont help anything.

first off; DayZ is free so you didn't pay horseshit and if it was up to the devs, all the servers would allow female characters, secondly: they never said you can play a girl character (although you can in most servers on dayz), also in arma 2 you can play a girl character, if not then as he said "Although women can join the army in many countries none of them allow women to be where the bullets are shot.". it's such a stupid issue concerning extremely unimportant cosmetic things, and it's already going to be dealt with although they have far more important priorities. no need to be rude you little retard.
