The Most Peaceful Places On Chernarus

Recommended Posts

So I am usually a person who likes to plan there adventure on a video game ahead of time. Obviously there is no safe place on Chernarus. I always here people mentioning how dangerous Cherno, Elektro, and the North West International Airfield. I am asking where all the low traffic areas are on the map. Areas that I can loot and more likely will not run into bandits. An example would be which place would be more safer to loot between Novy Sobor and Zelenogorsk? I'm asking because during my first week of the game I am going to suck trying to stay alive and I just some good advice on where to go and where not to go.

Either between Krastonstav and Berezino or Zelenogorsk and pustoshka.

There will obviously no one go to snipe at Zelenogorsk or Berezino. Try these cities, but grab a gun first.

i agree with burritoman, those are safe areas, also the borders of the map are quite lonely, if you have all you could need to survive (map, matches, axe, knife, water canteen) you can survive forever but it becomes a little boring

Dude I have a super secret place that only I use.

Its like an open field, if you shout your grid reference 7 times in side chat you get transported to a new world

In dayz 2017 trying hiding in a forest with these around,

* Zombies Hordes Spawn in Forests (and are attracted to camp fires)

No ones camp's are safe.

I find the area bounded roughly by Kamenka, Balota, and Zelenogosrsk to have fewer KoS bandits. Everyone who is in this triangle is usually busy trying to get somewhere else. :)

Also, I have never run into a hostile in the area around Gorka. Perhaps this is just luck, but whenever I am there I always feel like I am in the middle of b-f nowhere. It is a good place to hang because of the large # of high-value agricultural spawns in Gorka, and also the higher than average chance of finding heli crash sites.

the safest thing that you can do is staying always on paths you know, set a camp and choose a town to go when you need something( i often pick krasnostav or pogorevka) watching treelines when you cross fields or approach towns, recognize when you are on a main route (S-N paths from big cities to NWA or Stary) , when you are near settlements where people go when leaving buig cities(i see a lot of players in mogilevka, msta, staroye), or when you are near industrial areas, because groups go for parts(factory near polana, or the northern part of berezino) it's not funny when you meet a ural with an armed crowd on board..

I like Krasnostav. It's the northernmost town with a supermarket. It's surrounded by forest and 3 big mountains, so it's easy to hide and also watch for activity before you go shopping. The NE airfield is the safest of the 3 and on some private servers, there is an extra barrack there. Most new players and fresh spawns never make it this far up north. It's also a good base when you want to hunt for camps or vehicles hidden in the northern forests and moutains. And close to the spawn point of the black SUV and 2 UAZ.

Zelenogorsk is a close second. It's near the shore, but north of Kamenka where nobody likes to spawn, so you rarely meet people there. There are a lot of deer stand on the way to Zelenogorsk and around it. It's close to the western forest which is a safe way to travel all the way to the NWA.

@ OP: just start the game and go for it! Don't you think it's all part of the fun to find out on your own where to go best, where to loot where to better not stick your nose in at the beginning? Sorry, but asking questions like "where is it best/safest to go and loot" in a game is like playing games only with a guide. Takes away all the tension and the fun that DayZ has to offer if you would just jump in.

Only my honest opinion though :)

(only advice: be prepaired to die and lose your equipment... A LOT! And don't get frustrated over it, cause dying and losing stuff is a big part of DayZ)

Unless a hack-fag finds you. Nobody will be safe until hackers surrender. hurrah...

Thanks guys. All your opinions and statistics on Chernarus have been really helpful. There are some areas i will definitely check out. I saw Frankieonpcin1080p go to the abandoned factorcy near Polana a bunch of times in his videos. I didn't even see that there was a northeast airfield until someone mentioned it in this forum. Also, I am really surprised that Berezino is a semi- safe place to loot because such a huge city on the coast. Anyway thanks again

Safety is up north and away from the airfields, Pustoka and Lopatino come to mind, also in the woods 1Km north of NW airfield you are basically on your own and have a chance of finding tents.
