foroo 0 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) When i try to join a server this red text pops up.Need a closer look at the code?I can't do a shit from here, i have to restart my computer or Ctrl+alt+delete then end the prosess from there, (the game closes but the prosess remain on the prosess list, and it says im on a server on DayZCommander).Extra notes:I bought Arma II then Operation arrowhead, not the combined operations,Really hopes that someone are willing to help me, Doesn't matter if your suggestion didn't help my problem, atleast you tried! :) Edited January 13, 2013 by foroo
Testwd3r235 2810 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) I get something like that to but I think it's just BattlEye loading up...Edit: The red writing that is, I can still join games. Edited January 13, 2013 by MacabreLlama99
AmberHelios 2071 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) any battleye messages are now in red its a bit wrong really red usually means bad lol you should be ok to go you do have combines operations all it means is a bundle of arma 2 and arma 2 oa you might be best checking your files if your on steam i recommend doing thisclose steamstart steam in admin (right click and run as administrator) right click on arma2 and properties then local files click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice and do the same for arma2 oarun arma2 to the menu run arma2 oa to the menu click in expansions make sure the following are enabled arma2arma2 oa arma2 baf litearma2 pmc liteif not enable them and restart then exit the game create a shortcut in steam with the target as or windows if you dont use steam"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" -nosplashand this in the start in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\you might need to edit them to your own paths they are standard steam ones in x64 installed on the main drive Edited January 13, 2013 by AmberHelios

foroo 0 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) So if its not battleye, then what can it be? and i was able to vertify integrity og game cache when i already had the game open, but when its 100% it says "1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired" I guess its because the game is running and must be closed but this is the only way i can vertify it, or else it get stuck at 0% (tried to let it run for 2 hours but still 0%). AmberHelios 2071 Posted January 13, 2013 have you tried turning off your firewalls and antivirus just to see if that helps this problem
foroo 0 Posted January 13, 2013 (edited) have you tried turning off your firewalls and antivirus just to see if that helps this problemI have my firewall off, and i don't even have antivirus, so i don't think thats the problem :) have also tried to reinstal it 1000x times (arma2+arma2oa). AmberHelios 2071 Posted January 13, 2013 copy the files somewhere else then if it removes the game when you uninstall it never used to like you start the downloads again pause them exit steam and move the files back then start steam and unpause and it basically checks the files and downloads any missing
blunt_zephyr 51 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) That red text is normal and appears on every server I join. Its BE telling you, you're g2g with a legit GUID (for how-long after you've posted it..we'll see)Playing the game by itself, poses no issues? (you have played single player, armoury, campaign?)"The more you know" ~random rainbow appears Edited January 14, 2013 by Blunt_Zephyr
SmashT 10907 Posted January 14, 2013 (edited) (for how-long after you've posted it..we'll see)GUID's are perfectly fine to be posted, that's why they exist. You can't derive someones CD Key from a GUID Edited January 14, 2013 by smasht_AU
Lukezke 0 Posted January 14, 2013 I don't see any problems with this. I'm not sure why you can't join, but it's probably nothing to do with the GUID message. You're supposed to see it.
foroo 0 Posted January 14, 2013 Thanks guys! so now i know its not battleye or the GUID message, imma search for freeze in multiplayer setup on google and see what i find :)
dvsdvl 0 Posted January 14, 2013 I get that message whenever I join a server, I don't freeze or anything :S
foroo 0 Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) Ok, now i know that the battleye is the problem, after the 1.186 came i had problems updating my battleye, i could join servers without the freeze, but after like 2 min i got kicked because battleye failed to update from 1.185-186. After a hour or so i fixed it and got it to 1.186, so now im back to the same problem as before, the fucking freeze -.- Edit: i have tried arma 2 and could play on multiplayer servers without any problems. But arma 2 oa freezes, so it's not dayz that something is wrong with. Edited January 16, 2013 by foroo
