DayZ Arma III

I was looking around at Arma 3 and the DayZ standalone but I was wondering if you buy Arma 3 is it like Arma 2 were you can just download the DayZ mod or would you have to buy Arma 3 and Dayz standalone to play both. I have looked around and I haven't seen anything that would be about this topic so if anybody can help me I would appreciate it, thanks.

ArmA 3 and DayZ standalone are completely seperate games.

They are two separate games. Try using Google to search and you'll find details about it. I was confused at first, but it's amazing what Google can do :)

There won't be a DayZ mod for ArmA III, as long as no one from the community will start working on it (unofficial).

After the success of DayZ I'm 100% certain someone will try their luck on a similar mod. Will it be as good as DayZ mod? Doubtful but why not try it out and see.

The dayz standalone hasnt come out yet and you begging for dayz 2? Not necessary tbh.

Never underestimate which mods can be ported from ArmA 2 to ArmA 3. But while ArmA 3 will be sexy as hell, it will still have to face the same problems as the mod faced in ArmA 2.

Let me instead tell you, why you want to buy ArmA 3. You want it for the espionage mod, I'm currently planning to make. There are three factions: Foreign tourists on vacation, foreign spies preparing an invasion and national intelligence agency protecting the fatherland. As a tourist your task is to take pictures of as many tourist attractions and drunk Scandinavian teenagers in bikinis as possible, as spy you have to take pictures of as many military installations and the general civilian infrastructure as possible and as an agent for the intelligence agency you have to arrest as many random people as you possible can.

Pretty sure Rocket would want to move on and do something else after spending 2+ years developing DayZ when it's complete, his own game studio etc.
