Simply run both ARMA II and ARMA II: Operation Arrowhead once each as an administrator. Once the main menu loads up, you can exit.

if your on steam i recommend doing this

close steam

start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator)

right click on arma2 and properties then local files

click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice

and do the same for arma2 oa

run arma2 to the menu

run arma2 oa to the menu

click in expansions

make sure the following are enabled

arma2

arma2 oa

arma2 baf lite

arma2 pmc lite

if not enable them and restart then exit the game

create a shortcut in steam with the target as

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" -nosplash

and this in the start in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\

you might need to edit them to your own paths they are standard steam ones in x64 installed on the main drive
