exo.geni@hotmail.it 13 Posted January 10, 2013 I never liked the ARMA II ghillie, it doesn't look like a proper one. I would like to see in the standalone something more "comfortable" and transportable like the "viper hood".
GtaSoldierBoy 11 Posted January 10, 2013 True and also the ghillie should be pickable if a dead person is wearing it seems a waste i agree with you
Testwd3r235 2810 Posted January 10, 2013 The ghillie is perfect as it is, but I think you should be able to take it from bodies.
m.w. vindicator 880 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) I never liked the ARMA II ghillie, it doesn't look like a proper one. I would like to see in the standalone something more "comfortable" and transportable like the "viper hood".Arma 2 ghillie is designed for functionality, not looks. The first pic is of desert camouflage and wouldn't work in Chernarus because it lacks foliage (Even if it was the right color). The second pic is just half ghillie. This wouldn't be as desirable as full ghillie. They aren't as effective as the current ghillie but I wouldn't mind them being in the game. That being said, there are probably more important pieces of clothing that should be added first. With time, I would love to see these added. Edited January 10, 2013 by Vindicator
Average Pegasus 646 Posted January 10, 2013 You need to have the British add-on to get a good looking Ghillies in the mod so in the stand alone it gonna be better (I guess).but for the mod and the game they just need to patch few thing like the backpack (we have to see it but do we cover with a ghillie or not like in the second picture)and the fact you cant pick it up form dead people (btw they shoud do that for the camo-clothing two)

The boots are to exposed and by a realistic prospective would be pretty hard to find a magazine in that bush xD The first pic show the base of the ghillie, it's made to attach the vegetation and have a mobile drap in the back, it's probably one of the most versatile ghillie base around. Softcore 2 Posted January 10, 2013 The first pic is of desert camouflage and wouldn't work in Chernarus because it lacks foliage (Even if it was the right color). The second pic is just half ghillie. These are Viper Ghillies designed for regular infantry wear, not sniper use. The idea is that the upper parts of the body are covered in the ghillie material so when infantry are prone or peaking out from behind things they are more concealed. They don't need the full body ghillie suit since their mission is not to lay in wait for recon and sniper operations. Also, the first picture is just what the base looks like without the jute so you can see what's under the camo. The second picture is the base with the jute to form the camouflage.I think adding this partial gillie suits would be awesome.
TheDesigner 1197 Posted January 10, 2013 You should have the option to "add" surrounding vegetation into suit. Mechanically, it would just change the texture to match the grass around you.
Bribase 251 Posted January 10, 2013 I'd be happy to see some variations of camo that only somewhat obscure you. The ghillie is OP and far too common for the time being and could do with a movement handicap. The top of my list would be urban camo.

I still don't really feel like these are super important at the moment. The future holds great things.
mattldempsey 8 Posted January 10, 2013 Variation is good, doesnt have to be limited to just the current amount of camouflage's
