How do you trade?

I'm not sure how exactly you're supposed to trade with someone, there's currently no sticky explaining how you do it.

Can you only do it on Public servers or can it be done on private servers as well? Do you agree to meet at a certain grid reference and then trade there?

Thought I'd ask here before attempting to trade.

Well, if you're both playing on the same private hive server I guess you can trade there. But it's not possible to have your gear from the "official hive" to a private hive. Therefore you can only trade on the official hive if you're playing on any server connected to the shared hive. Trading can also be dangerous, the other person can either kill you when you get there or tell his/her friends to kill you when you've given your weapon.

That's why I never trade, I think it's too dangerous.

You can do it on any type of server. The chances of finding someone to trade with on public servers is greater because there are more players with more desire for various goods and weapons, but the way the trade plays out its the same on each server.

you can trade on any server however on the public hive equipment and gear will be transferable between. on a private hive you will only be able to trade in that server. To set up a trade ask in game or on the forum of server website, it will be down to you to set up and a lot of trades go bad i would recommend bringing someone with you to cover the trade if things go bad.
