How much more FPS will the Standalone give?

Hey guys, Rocket's mentioning of the Standalone yesterday looks really promising. He mentions optimizations and whatnot.

To what extent do you think the FPS will be improved? I'm getting between 30-60 in Cherno, but my PC really isn't bad at all. I have no idea why it's so low.

We'll just have to wait and see, won't we? Not even the devs should know before everything is implemented and optimized.

It's undetermined at this point because while they have made a lot of optimizations with it they are unsure as to whether to offset those advances with increased zombie count or other resource intensive processes.

Rocket said the other day that the optimisation was pretty much offset by the graphical improvements so you should expect pretty much the same FPS. I don't even know what to think any more, lol.

Just having an idea that would it be possible in the future if we could somehow tweak building detail as separate from others. I think that would help some people.

But one big FPS eater in coast for me is the damn sea. I'm really hoping that we could drop it's detail down because I get better FPS in dense forest than looking off the coast.

I never really had many problems with the game, in fact im hoping the SA will be more resource intensive, i have a pretty good rig going(i7 2600k with a gtx 680) and i would love to put my hardware to the test. I just hope rocket caters to both the people with entry-level computers and enthusiasts alike.

Thats why im waiting to build a new comp, if my current rig playz the SA better than the mod, then im set, if the opposite proves true...well...there goes my gas money.
