Can I do anything about this...?

So I'm really new (Only been playing about a week), and low and behold... a hacker has gotten me killed. (us 5052 server)

He teleported everyone into one area, I managed to log out before anything happened to me. Waited for 15 minutes, logged back in and was promptly killed by 'friendly fire' and basically got restarted back into Electro with ZERO gear. Not even the starter stuff, like a can of food or anything... yet, I'm still wearing my Ghillie suit?

So what do I do? Can I (Doubtfully =( ) get any of my stuff back?

I really have no idea who this 'hacker' was, but is there anything that I can do about it?

You can look for a private hive server to join, significantly less hackers.

I play on he UK Balota Buddies server and for the few weeks I've been there I have encountered a single hacker who spawned gear and was banned within minutes and the offending gear removed.

If you find a good server with fair, active admins it makes it a lot, lot better.

Like Rossums said, if you play in public hive servers you're going to see more hackers than you probably would in a private hive. Most private hives, if you can prove you were killed because of a hacker, will revert your character back giving you all of your gear back. Depending on where you're from (if you live in the EU) you could check out the UK Balota Buddies server, or another good private hive I can definitely recommend if you're in the U.S. is the BMRF servers. They have great admins, a great community, as well as other servers hosting more missions like Wasteland and Warfare.

You are wrong. In the beginning there is no can of food. Flashlight and bandage, thats it.

Private hives give better playing experience. Better group of players( if you find a good server). Some made up guests and the one i play on has only few bandits. Maybe better loot and more vehicles. But altogether better experience.

Remember, depending on the server one may start with practically anything. A vanilla server will have the basic, no frills loadout though.

Yeah go play on a private hive... The two times I've joined a public US server I've encountered hackers in the first 5 minutes. I love the private hive I play on, they add a few things to the map that makes it easier for bambies to gear up like a supermarket at kamenka and a military camp at balota.

Lol, that sucks. My death was more entertaining. I was unconscious for 30minutes flying In a Pbx with a hacker...
