DayZ Standalone Closed Testing?

People! Let's all agree Frankie is undeniably bullshit in way of actually playing (Ie: Staging 95% of the video). Cheats or not, enjoyable. Now, I kind of want to ask a few questions if anyone has some answers, I'm really keen to get as much information as possible (Wanting to finally start a Channel, with DayZ SA being the first video *Tear falls down cheek*)

a] Under this NDA agreement, will the participates in the DayZ Stand Alone BETA be able to record within it for upload after the NDA is extinguished? Or will it cover any & all Footage, aside from Twitch.tv Streaming?

b] Will the price fluctuate directed by the current stages? Dean mentioned a few times trying to follow-suit with MineCraft, in that It's not going to cost all too much. However, will it do the same in Pricing for ALPHA / BETA (Costing 10%, or 25% less then it currently does) Or will it be a set-price over the entire course of it's Development?

c] Will we be able to Donate to the Development Team, and of course our Friendly Neighbourhood Forum Mod's? Or does BIS have regulations against accepting Donations?

A. There is an NDA however streaming will be allowed apparantly. The NDA is more to prevent distribution of assets etc

B. I think that was the plan

C. Not really, they don't need donations or preorder sales as they have support from BIS, they didn't take donations when they were working on the mod for free so why now?

a] NDA is restricting uploading videos to youtube, streaming will be allowed at least in twitch, most probably also on youtube. But actual uploads are not.

b] Price isn't decided yet I think. Probably it will be between 15-30 dollars, but frankly.. Even it is full price I would gladly buy couple of them.

c] You can donate buy buying multiple copies of DayZ:SA, and I think this is the best way to actually donating something to BIS because this will show in the sales. For example DayZ:SA will be ported to Xbox if the sales are over 1 million ;)

I knew people would go "YOU SHOULD TOTALLY PICK ME" on the forums. Chill out for a while and apply when you can. You possibly wont make it, since the whole forum will apply for it. I wont even bother.

And I think the game will be out pretty soon, since the beta testing is announced.

Giving beta testing access to fanboys (like rhino) doesn't help to improve the product, but only to advertise it... and don't get me wrong, that's EXACTLY what a publisher should do to be sure to sell more copies. Look at EA, when they had to decide to who give the beta access to BF3, did they opted for the hardcore players? Naaa.. they only gives you trouble asking to change this and that, they gave it to a bunch of random kids.

Playing arma or dayz by long time, knowing deeply how it would, what to adjust, and stuff like this wouldn't help to access a closed beta.. but if you have been here screaming how amazing are the [exact same gfx of the current mod] "new" screenshots, will sure help. It's 2013 ppl.. stop believing into Santa, it's a money affair... this game has to sell, not to please a bunch of few nerds.

To be fair though, I don't see why there's no reason they shouldn't have invited Frankie. He has a 300,000+ fanbase on YouTube and has racked up an incredible 41,800,000+ views from his videos - what better a way to advertise and generate hype for this amazing game than getting one of the top "Let's Play..." YouTube channels onboard?

My opinion is that they should also pick some normal people to see how the game behaves with their pc's. 1-5% of the players have beast rig as the famous youtubers.

There should be a form where you've to select your PC specs, and then questions like

how long have you played dayz

how many hours... blablalba.
