Not sure what this is. (Windows 7 problem?)

Recommended Posts

I'm getting a weird error of sorts, I really don't know what to call it. A small text window pops up in the top left corner of my DayZ game, and it's measuring all of my keystrokes, and seems to lag/freeze my game with an annoying beeping sound.

I included a screenshot. Does anyone know what this is and how I turn it off?

Try playing full screen rather than windowed and see if that helps. Otherwise it could well be a corrupt file of some sort. You could of course consult an IT professional's best friend... google and see if there's anything about it there. Assume you already tried that before coming here though. Best of luck sorting it out.

Hello there

I doubt its a corrupt file.

It looks like an external program is overlaid on the top of dayz.

It could be part of the imparement assistance stuff bundled with windows, like sticky keys for eg.

Try to go in Task manager, check the tasks names and if something sounds similar to that program, google it and see what it is, if it is such a Key measuring/recording thingy, end the Task go in Control Panel and try to look up if the program is in the unistall list, when not, go on google, type in the task and how to get rid off it, and it should give u some options.

Thats how I would do it.
