DayZ (SweetFX v1.3)

Recommended Posts

Its great, but expect a 10 fps loss.

I can't say I have experienced this myself. I mean I ALWAYS get fps drops in cities, but haven't noticed any anywhere else.

When i hit F12, i get the side menu on the left where the placer has option to call for back up, and other arma2 commands?

I'm confused?

Edit: never mind i didn't have them in the correct folder DOH! lol

I'm good now

Hey

Quick questions. I own Arma 2 CO and don't seem to have a separate OA folder, so I've just unzipped the ARMA II.rar into C/Program Files (x86)/Bohemia Interactive/Arma 2/

Do you think that'll suffice? Under DayZ Commander's settings, it lists my ARMA2 and OA directories as being the same location (as stated above).

Thanks

I will not play this game without SweetFX because it looks so much better, and I get absolutely no framerate loss whatsoever.

I'm the same man, I could NOT go back. Just turning it off ingame makes my eyes bleed :)

Hmmm... I must not have zipped to the right folder, F12 is only giving me the backup options. Can anyone help? I've unzipped to the location in my above quote

i have a problem.

I extract the files into both "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2"

and "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead"

When i launch (Using Dayz commander) i get a CTD?

Make sure you guys use the 32-bit version of Arma 2, otherwise it just crashes your game.

There is a 64-bit version of the game?

This makes such a difference, I have been recommending it to all the strangers I team with ingame :)

I also own the retail version of the ARMA 2 CO. I copied it to the following folders:

Arma 2

Arma 2\Expansions\Beta

It looks way better, but it takes 0-7fps for me.

Nope. I run it using arma 2 oa beta patch.

you´ve got to put the files in your main ArmA2 directory and in your beta patch folder (under expansions).

I tried this but it made the game look.. Worse and weirder for me, nothing like what was in the screenshots. Not sure if I have to change anything (Did try brightness/gamma but no difference really..).

Shame.. Makes the game look awesome from looking at the screenshots. Combine this with JSRS and Blastcore, ArmA/DayZ would like and sound 10x better!

Whatever you do, DONT TURN IT OFF. :) F12 is the default key binding for turning it off and on!

You must have done something wrong. Can you show us what it did?

Makes my fps drop from ~60-70 (outside city) to 20-30, then even when I use the ingame hotkey to turn it off my fps still remains really low. Gotta remove all the files and restart the game and my fps is back to normal. I have a pretty decent rig as well.
