St. Jimmy 1631 Posted January 10, 2013 One day I was wondering on north hill of Stary Sobor, the one that got deer stand. It was pitch black. I got M14 AIM, ALICE pack, M1911, grenade and some food and medic supplies with me. I climb on the north side of the hill to the top and moved crouched south. Then suddenly I heard someone eating beans and some foot steps coming towards me. I said "Hey friendly here!". Well you can guess what was he's answer on that. Full 30 clip from a rifle BUT he only managed to hit me once or twice. I quickly retreated behind a tree and shot some covering fire in panic. Only thing I could see were the muzzle flashes that came from him. I threw a grenade and started to bandage myself because I was very low on blood. Then I stand still for a minute or two and my heart beat was like 200. I heard him running somewhere but couldn't see because of the darkness.Well after waiting minute or two I decided to retreat back to north on the downhill because only way to spot him is the horizon. I went prone about 50-100m and set myself under a bush. I waited about 10 min until I hear some footsteps somewhere near me and saw a flash of him but couldn't get him on sights. Laying still, using alt to scan the horizon and pushing my gun on the ground as much as possible for another 5min and I heard footsteps again. I heard again he was coming towards me and then I saw him he was running crouched but stopped 10m away behind a tree and only thing I saw was his gun. I knew that he hadn't spot me because he was watching somewhere else. I raised my sights on him and started to wait for him to move out from that tree. 30 secs later he moved just bit so I could see his body fully, I counted on three and opened my M14 AIM five times and I saw him dropping down.I knew that I had kill killed him but I waited five more minutes just in case before I went to loot the corpse. This is the time I was shocked. He got everything what you could possibly want, L85 AWS, NVG, GPS, PDW, Coyote pack with AS50, lots of magazines, food and drink. I was just thinking how the hell he couldn't get me with this stuff because it was pitch black. I of course took all the fancy stuff and buried him.After that I ran about 1km north and successfully disconnect thinking that it was the most amazing PVP encounter that I've ever been where I was totally underdog and it took 20 min to win that situation. I checked IRC and saw the same guy posting that he lost all the stuff, I asked was it him that I fought against and found out it was the same guy.This is why I love EXPERT servers with 24h day cycle and always will!
