How to sucessfully use the Anti-material rifle? (especially against helis)

I was at NWAF just now when I saw a pristine UH-H1 heli. Of course, I was very skeptical that there was a pristine heli just just sitting there. I decided to find a nice sniping spot and see if anyone came for it. After about 5 minutes I saw some guy looting the hangars. He slowly made his way to me and the heli and climbed into it as I was repositioning. Due to the angle of me to the heli I couldn't see the pilots window so I started firing at the rotary assembly with my M107. I must have landed about 5 hits to the rotery assembly but the blades continued to spin faster and faster until he eventually took air. He flew right over my head and back towards Stary sobor at a great speed. I started pumping round at the heli but due to the great zoom level of the scope and the speed he was moving it was very hard to hit him. With my last bullet I took the shot and saw a spurt of blood come out of the window. He started to come back on himself and head back in my direction. He then started to spin out and eventually went into a nose dive and crashed with a great explosion.

I was quite bummed out that it had to go down like that and that I didn't get the heli but it was incredibly cool to watch.

So, yeah, how do I effectively disable vehicles with Anti-material rifles?

The m107 punches through walls, just shoot through the helicopter and hit the pilots.

*old man voice* In mah old days of anti-mah-terial snahpin', I learned this: If you want to salvage/rescue the heli afterwards, you CANNOT do it if they're already in the air. Most DayZ pilots haven't learned how to emergency land correctly, and if they're REALLY high, then it's very unlikely that the heli is going to land in one piece.

Instead the most prominent option is to kill the pilot while the heli is still grounded. If you can't see him, try to guess his seat location and shoot through the heli at him. If he doesn't seem to be dying, then of course, aim at the top part of the heli and spam until either the engine or MRotor gives out.

Tip: Do not disable the tailrotor. If you do, the heli is likely to simply spin out and crash; most DayZ pilots also don't know how to control spinning helis either.

IMPOSSIBRU! But yeh the shooting through the heli's a good idea.

Okay, if you wanted to know, when it comes to vehicles...

If you fire the AS50 at the following described places, it will destroy the vehicle [cause it to explode] with a single bullet.

URAL: Aim for the front of it.

UAZ: Just above the front wheels.

Offroad: Just above the front wheels wheel, in fact possibly the front--similar to the URAL.

ATV: Pretty much the middle, you'll know it when you see it.

BUS: At the back.

Motorcycle: In the middle, I suppose.

Bicycle: No fueltank on this one, lol. You cannot make the bicycle explode, not even with a satchel charge. [i've tried it.]

V3S: Same as the URAL.

Helicopter: I believe that's been stated by the above comments [although you cannot make it explode with a firearm, not even the AS50--it needs to crash in order to blow up].

I believe that is all of the regular spawning vehicles...correct me if I'm wrong.
