I landed on top of Cherno hotel once and didn't know that helis blew up on server restart if they were unreachable. My bud and I got super pissed (we'd had a frustrating time on this server) and started sniping zombies with our SVD Camo and scoped G36. Thus was born, "Zombie Rednecks." And now I just do that for fun. :D

My second day playing this game, I found the edge of the map. I didn't realize that it was nothing but wasteland beyond, so, hoping to find a coastal city eventually, I kept going. Well, after about half an hour of wandering, almost hungry and dehydrated, I decided to change directions and (hopefully) head back to the mainland. On my way there, I started starving and getting dehydrated. Then, I died not of the elements, but while in the absolute middle of nothing, someone found me and killed me. In hindsight, an Admin probably took pity on me and finished me off. But after all that wasted time, and with one of my first rifles, I was so upset.

I was playing with a few friends that I had taught to fly helicopters. We'd had an incredibly lucky day - we'd found 2 choppers already, a little bird and a huey. As we got to NWAF, we found a biplane. I'd only flown it once before, so I decided to give it another shot. We thought we'd be hilarious and fly around Elektro, assuming 3 aircraft would terrify people. Well, I got a little cocky with my flight skills after doing some tricky maneuvers - going low and pulling up just in time, dodging trees, loops/barrel rolls - I thought I'd be a badass and fly low over Elektro. Hit the hospital. Insta-dead. My friends were absolutely speechless, then just burst out laughing. Even better, one those guys earlier that day had decided to roleplay as the crazy guy who thinks zombies are people, too. After leading his "flock" to the church and preaching it, they ate him.

I had that. Once I noticed, I gave everything to the first guy I saw and logged. Lost my first Huey, 3 cars, an ATV, loads of guns... But I haven't been on that server since. I regret nothing. Getting REAL fear - the 'bullets are flying, I'm going to lose what little I have' desperation is so much more fun. :D

One time thing with a bandit friend. Still fun. :) Ironically, it ended with a bandit with a Huey finding us, picking us up, and then trying to nosedive with us inside. My friend died, I ejected in time. Jog back to corpse, no harm done.

So I finally achieved my DayZ life goal: landing on the Cherno hotel with a sniper. Everything went fine until the server restarted. Logging back in, it had exploded. Does anyone know what happened? Is it explainable?

US 69. Admins take care of hackers near immediately. Saw one spawn in items, and had time to take 1 shot before being banned.

Military, I'd assume. I doubt civilian ones have guns.

Just found an mi17_DZ... And it won't let me repair. I have all the parts, I have a toolbox, and I'm standing right next to it, and it won't let me repair it. Is there something I'm doing wrong?? I repair cars just fine. Is this heli bugged or what?

North of Berezino is a crashed boat on the coast. I've had 2 cars there for over a week now, with no problems. My new favorite spot.
