INVALID GUID - KICKED

Recommended Posts

Hello, reader.

I'm not a regular player of DayZ. It's been a few days (DayZ used to launch and connect perfectly) and I try launching DayZ to join my friends who are playing on a new map. I'm being kicked and cannot even see the error message before being set back to the main menu screen. My friends in-game can see that I am being kicked for "Invalid GUID".

Is there a fix to this issue?

Do you know what is causing this issue?

My copy of Arma2 : Combined Operations was purchased through Steam.

Thanks,

Mick.

EDIT: I made a post on the Arma2 website rather than here. (I was notified by Max Power that I needed to come here, so I did)

EDIT: I just tried it again after this post and I'm now getting the error message: Global Ban #3e6d92

Further infomation?

You attempted to edit your GUID, which is why you are getting that error. Probably has nothing to do with your global ban.... just kidding.

I haven't editted anything, I don't even know what the GUID is. Like I said, I haven't even touched DayZ in like a week.

I'm also a leprechaun.

I knew there would be the one kid out there who couldn't resist being an ass on a post like this, I hope you get the attention you crave for.

With or without administrator, I am now Global Banned. I've just posted an appeal with BattlEye so let's see how this goes..

Didn't see that, sounds like your CD Key got stolen. Ultimately you are responsible for keeping it secure.

I understand that, but how is it possible for somebody to steal a CD Key? Especially through a Steam game.

The CD Key is kept in the registry so anyone that gains access to your PC can steal it, usually by malware (pretending to be something legitimate) being downloaded that grabs it from the registry and send it to someone.
