Ok i currently don't own arma 2 combined operations but I'm planning to get it soon and then install dayz.

The only thing is though that my dad has currently got a character on dayz on his computer and he says that ur characters are connected to ur ip. Is this true?

Because if it is that means that if i install dayz onto my computer then log onto a server then it will load up my dads character seeing that we are on the same IP (using the same internet)

No, unless you're using the same CD-key.

Which means that you will have a unique CD-key if you buy operation arrowhead.

sometimes servers do kick if your both on the same ip but i think this was sorted in one of the patches if not you just need to change the port your connecting on but i believe the ports are now random on one of the betas
