Bandit Skin

Recommended Posts

I also think the old bandit skin looked better. As for advantages, why not have all bandits start with a Makarov PM like the good old dayZ? Or perhaps more meat from hunting, longer run duration before becoming tired. (the heros already have a faster run speed)

Or we could just have the hero skin's benfits copied over to the bandit so their even.

Another option would be to have the bandit more resistant to infections/temperature changes. After all, that scarf looks pretty warm to me.

I just want some "Distinction" to being a bandit. I mean the hero has "He's a hero. He's helped people. He can run a little faster to help rescue teammates and wears a (Mildly) bullet-resistant vest, so if anyone makes the mistake of firing on him, he stands a better chance."

So why not for the bandit: "He's a bandit, dishonest and untrustworthy. He's made sure he's geared up for survival, knowing beforehand this country is dangerous and thus starts with a Makarov PM he stole from the boat before it crashed upon Chern." or "He knows the dangers of the harsh, cold nights, so he cut some cloth from some poor soul's shirt and fashioned a balaclava to both hide his idenity and help stay warm." etc.

It's easy to be a bandit, it's not easy to earn hero.

so true, i ve had about 100 possibilities to shoot people and become a bandit

but i've hardly got the possibility to help people to become a hero

even thou, the easiest way to become a hero is shooting bandits, but they don't run around as stupid as noobs on the airfield or in cities...

Yes, so you can laugh in direct chat while they are shooting at you with almost no effect :)

But seriously, I agree with this part. Meeting a freshly spawned bamb-dit with no weapon is kinda ridiculous.

Then bambi's will get an axe and think "hey, if I become a bandit, I get an early gun!" then the bandits take over.

I see your point. Let's give them blank rounds then. Don't tell anybody!

I think the bandit skin looks like a guy with a beehive on his head. That's good, make them look stupid for playing selfish. Hero skin is pretty boss

Haha, exactly. My hero Skin is cool, and bandit balaclava is just stupid and doesn't combine with his clothes B)

But now, seriously, this is a game. What is, for you, more fun?

For me is the opportunity to help and meet people ingame, the risk of not killing on sight, trying to talk to people; That awesome moments when you meet someone and you don't know if he is going to kill you; helping someone close to death being eaten by the zeds, and then making him lower his weapon until I have left...

Although bandits are necessary, (otherwise my (virtual) life wouldn't make any sense), and that's how I like to play, and I don´t understand how can people enjoy killing people and even sniping.

I would do it even if I didn't have any skin as a reward, because that's, IMO, the best way to play. Being a hero is your option, but not for the ingame reward. If you are a hero to get a cool skin then you are not a true hero.

This is Dayz, not Battlefield, not ARMA, not Wasteland. This is Dayz, and that's why Dayz is unique.

The bandit skin looks terrible, the towel looks goofy with the normal survivor clothes. I don't think anyone intentionally wants to get that skin (the ball cap is so cool lol)
