ninjan777 104 Posted December 28, 2012 Im no expert but if you absolutely must play the game at no cost you could try and make a system reset, though i am not sure that will work either. Maybe your registry is broken or someting :c

Axxassin 49 Posted December 28, 2012 did you buy the steam version or retail?i had the same problem i am using arma 2 free and arma 2 oa retail versionHere is what i didI uninstalled both games, then opened regedit Deleted both arma folders in both of these folders :- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive StudioAnd reinstalled my arma 2 OA an arma 2 free into one folder and used Playwithsix to update my dayz mod and all the other mapsAnd about that business with dayzcommander not working it might not find the patch your arma2 is installed but i guarantee if you use playwithsix and set the arma 2 and arma 2 oa into the gamefile directory you can easily download new maps and update them very easilyHope this helped you
bigdogsco 143 Posted December 28, 2012 (edited) Yeah delete the registry entries for arma, then do the verify cache with steam. Did the trick for me. I didn't have to uninstall/reinstall the game. Edited December 28, 2012 by bigdogsco
