How do you enter 3rd person?

I have searched the web for a while now and I just can't seem to find the answer, I'm on a laptop right now more specifically a Sony VAIO so the keyboard is a little different to Personal Computers. I activated Num Lk many times and it just doesn't go from 1st person into 3rd and pressed enter and all :huh: ... Also I'm not in a hardcore mode server where you can't go alternate from 1st to 3rd I'm in a normal one. Any help would be much appreciated! :)

Go into "controls" and allocate a 2nd key bind.

Also, always worth checking your keybinds in vanilla Arma offline. That way you can be sure there's nothing custom interfering.

Just something to note as well, some servers do not allow third person. If you're trying all of the right things and still unable to enter third person then it may very well be the server.
