Weapons can be found in many different places.

Civilian weapons such as the Makarov pistol as well as various Shotguns and small Rifles can be found in residential areas.

Military loot such as a Sniper Rifle or an Assault Rifle can only be found in military areas such as airfields or military camps such as the medical camp in Balota.

Various items can be found in the bigger cities if you look in the supermarket (Bags, civilial weapons) and the hospital (Medical supplies).

Hello there

IMHO the game is far better not using the external map.

The easiest place to find useable weapons is/are barns. Plus, they are common and not always near built up areas/hunting zones.

really? When I started back in june with easily 8+ people and we were all learning together in TS as noobs the most annoying point of the game was running around small towns trying to figure out which house you could enter, because as we all know there are so many small towns with 20+ buildings but only 4 of them enterable.

I don't see how the external map is game breaking or robs anyone of a game experience.

New players are afraid of going to an area only to find there is nothing there and invite the entire town to chase them.

it is a great tool to quickly learn which building is which. Once you get used to what a Barn looks like, a deer stand, a 2 story red brick building, or more importantly which of those brown wood cabins are enterable the game is alot easier to manage. Compared to the week of WTF are we doing.

I suggest the map.
