Suggestions for DayZ

First of all, thank you Dean Hall for creating such an awesome game, I have never played a game as great as DayZ and it is by far the greatest multiplayer game on the planet.

Now to the point, here are my suggestions:

1. Make the shopping area of the market spawn food on the shelves and empty cans on the floor. Make tools spawn at the ''loading docks'' at the back of the store. No gun spawns at the supermarket.

2. Make police cars that would spawn M1014 Shotguns, Remington Shotguns, M1911's, M9's, Glock 17's and Revolvers. Also smoke grenades and M67 Frag-Grenades could spawn there.

3. Make deer-stands spawn CZ550's and backpacks. Also binoculars spawning there would make a lot of sense, as well as hunting knives or hatchets.

4. Stop industrial buildings from spawning military ammo, because that makes no sense. Instead increase stuff like wheels, tools and car-parts.

5. Make loot only respawn when server restarts, that would make and interesting scenario because the large southern coastal-cities would quickly run out of loot, and people would be forced to move north to towns like: Stary Sobor, Vybor, Krasnostav, Polana and Berezino. This would also make loot farming almost impossible because you would always have to wait for the server to restart...

6. Make cars common but gas rare. Increase the spawn of jerrycans at gas-stations and industrial buildings, and make the gas-tanks used for refilling extremely rare. They should only be at Gas-Stations and airfields and they should be able to go empty.

7. These are few suggestions about the infected:

1. Make them run as fast as a player when on full sprint after resting.

2. Make them to do more damage, they should take like 2000-3000 blood from single hit. If you stand still while having 8

zombies hit you simultaneously, it takes 15 seconds for them to kill you, which makes them almost no threat at all.

3. They should be able to hit you when they get close enough when chasing.

8. Double-Barreled Shotgun must have faster rate of fire. It has an unrealistically long time between barrels, and that is what makes it the worst weapon in the game. The strength of D-B Shotgun is that you can fire 2 shots quickly towards an incoming target.

9. The CZ550 spawn rate must be increased because hunting rifles are common weapons in farms.

10. Ammo must be a lot more rare, there should be a larger chance to find a weapon than ammo.

11. You can get the hero-skin easily these days by simply giving your friends a certain amount of blood-transfusions. That makes the skin easy to use as a trap by bandits. You should only gain the skin by being without murders for a certain amount of time. That makes it almost impossible for bandits to get.

12. Cars on streets should have loot in them and there should be a ''traffic-jam'' with lot of cars on the same road that you could check for loot.

13. The ''Guard towers'' that you see around Zelegonorsk and NW-Airfield should spawn Military weapons like M16's and AK-74's.

14. The amount of wildlife should be reduced, and there should be no wildlife near the ''debug plains''. People should not be able to just live forever on the debug forests and plains eating wild animals. Water bottles should be mostly empty, only rarely full.

15. The infected should spawn also in forests, so that even the wilderness would not be a safe place. I can imagine the feeling of running in the middle of the forest while hearing the zombies growl around you in the woods...

16. There should be more barricading-tools so that you could make a fortress against zombies and players. Doors should also be able to be locked by players. The lock could be opened from outside by a toolbox just like wire-fences.

-Makarov (Pistol)

-Python (Revolver)

-Anaconda (Revolver)

-M1911 (Pistol)

-Glock 17 (Pistol)

-M9 (Pistol)

Hunting Rifles:

-Remington 700 (Bolt-action)

-Winchester 70 (Bolt-action)

Shotguns:

-Double-Barreled Shotgun

-Mossberg 500 (Pump-action)

-Mossberg 590 + Pistol grip (Pump-action)

-AA-12 (Fully-automatic)

Sniper Rifles:

-M107

-M24

-DMR

-Barrett 50.

-L96

Assault Rifles:

-M16

-M4

-AK-74

-AK-47

-M14

-FN FAL

-L85A2

Melee Weapons:

-Hatchet

-Crowbar

-Knife

-Baseball Bat

Explosives:

-M67 Frag-Grenade

Make Police Cars spawn flashbangs and teargas nades instead of M67 frags, because i think a Police officer has no Need for a frag.

I think The Zombies should Not do more damage, because they can make you bleed, and if they do and you have 10 Zombies behind you, you are in Trouble.

In my oppinion they should fix The tree escape Trick

2000-3000 blood from a single hit? I agree with the rest but that is just nuts! I mean a makarov bullet does only 889 or something! The zombies would be able to kill you in 2 hits since you would probably go unconscious and they would smash you while you're on the ground.

you must have made an error with the 0s or you just forgot you only have 12k blood. Maybe they should hit more damage but not that much it's way too much.

Well maybe not 2000, but at least 500-1000 beacause the infected are not a threat at the moment. Maybe they should then knock you out more easily? But at least I think we can agree that the zombies ARE too easy in DayZ. By making zombies harder it encourages grouping up with other against a common enemy.

maybe 500 is ok I guess. I don't think they should be able to knock you out easier though, that's one of the most frustrating things that could happen. You're all geared up and ready to do some heavy shit and then a stray zombie attacks you, you get knocked out and that 1 zombie beats you to death. Happened to me except the 1 time I got hit in that life the zombie snapped my leg and I got killed.

Pretty interesting to be honest. These spawn points would make a lot more sense than the current ones.

I agree that zombies should do more damage. My thought is if you are surrounded by 4 zombies within striking distance then you are screwed. Rather than do the crappy hitting motion they could grab you and rip your throat out.

No zombie should stand there and do the "tiger attack" motion.

A lot of your suggestions have been discussed before, but you have a few good points.
