Is it safe to return to the beans coast?

Hi all,

I played this game religiously for quite a while but chucked it in 4-5 months back after one too many encounters with people hacking. I've had a browse through the forums, but it's still a little unclear as to how regularly you die via hacker now.

I'm not too keen on spending hours on this game again only to be killed by being teleported out to sea, turned into an animal, thunderdome'd, nuked, shelled by artillery or some other such bollocks again. Can anyone let me know if this is still a prevalent issue with the game or has this been stopped now?

As a side note: I realize I could just play and find out, the problem is I've reinstalled windows in between then and now and I live in New Zealand where the internet allowances are fairly stingy, so a 15GB download is a bit of an ask.

Ah im generally in my groups ts but ill pop in later tonight when we are done on anz 1 graz finally locked helicopters to first person, just gonna take a look around devils and ill be on.

Well, it is better, but still not good.

Instead of meeting a cheater every hour, you meet one every two days. But you should avoid gobal-hive server with more than 30 players, the chance to meet a cheater increases dramatic there.

On private-hive servers is the same problem, so search for a private-hive server with side-chat enabled, so you can report the cheater and a good admin does a rollback after a cheater attack, so you don´t loose anything.

Come back to the coasts, or wait for the new coasts in the standalone-version ;-) And if you search for something new, experience the new maps Panthera, Lingor, Celle and Namalsk !

it's a long time i don't get cheated to death, but i play almost exclusively on private servers with live admins..playing on public always makes me feel like i'm waiting for an asteroid to fall on my ass anymoment

Sweet, I bit the bullet and reinstalled. Have only run into one cheater so far and he was basically only spawning in good gear for himself, so no biggie. It's good to be back, lol
