I've recently started using Teamspeak after joining a new white listed private hive. I'm not all that familiar with it having used ventrillo and mumble for the last couple of years. I haven't been using the overlay as apparently some anti cheat programs throw a hissy fit. Does anybody know if its safe to use?

Yup, it's all good mate. Just enable the plug-in, in the options and run TS as administrator and you're sorted. Plus I think it's our server you're on so if you run into any issues, gimme a shout.

If you look on Battleye's site, You are fine to use the TS3 overlay, and I have for a few weeks no with no problems. Just to add with what ^ said!

I enabled it but it doesn't appear in game :(

Run TS as admin.
