Full inventory out of the blue?

Hi guys!

I have bin playing DayZ for a few weeks now and I am enjoying myself. Yesterday something strange happend tho... I was walking around newborn and out of the blue my screen showed some text about free hacks and this ingame character had radio contact with me about a mission. My inventory was filled up with weapons and stuff I have never found before. I went from nothing to fully armed?

I logged out caus of fear of being marked a hacker.. Today i relogged on another server and the stuff was still there? Any1 knows what is going on?

anyway that was most likely a hacker screwing with you, don't worry about it you should be fine even if you keep the stuff.

Depends what you have, if it's allowed gear you should be ok.

If not, get rid of it.

TBH i have no idea about the private or public? It's a server shown by DayZ Commander? I believe all the items are legit sinds i did see them on Frankies Youtube video's. To be safe ill trow em out i guesse.

Have a look see over here http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/Loot and drop anything that's not on there... Bit of waste throwing away perfectly good useable weapons :D

it's important to know if you're playing on a public or private hive otherwise you've no way of knowing what's allowed. If you're relying on Youtube vids for info then you need to be carefull. Check the wiki for whats allowed on public servers. Private servers can be customised so it's harder to know unless they have a forum/community/hive thread.

LOL no doubt I destroyed a thermal AS-50 on my home server only to find out he "had" them in the loot table! I quoted had because I got him to remove it in favore of a RPK! Oh yeah rat a tat tat mother trucker! (well as soon as I find one) ;)

Kill the first zed or animal you see, dump everything in the body, and bury it. This happened to me on a server once. Some russian hacker was typing in sidechat, the news report comes up on the bottom, and suddenly everyone has a DMR, NVGs, etc. I disconnected, joined another server, ditched the loot, and started fresh.

If none of the gear is illegal then you can technically keep everything and won't get in any trouble for it, but that's no fun. :)
