Cheaters pool

if you have played max payne 3 you know it has unique way deal with cheaters and hackers. put them fight eachother and taste their own medicine. example player a is not hacker but player b is and player c sees hacker is hacking well player c reports about hacker and hack is confimed now player b is in cheaters pool and has to play with other cheaters now he needs to hack better than other hackers. 2 mounths is passed and now player is no longer in cheaters pool therea are 2 posible out comes player either stops hacking or continues if player continues and get caught again now player is forever in cheaters pool now way out. banning forever players dosen't work we have seen it. and hacking is for morons hacker can always get a new copy and contineu hacking what do you think should dayz stanalone have this kindof thing or not

Player A beats Player B, Player B gets mad and tells Friend C,D,E,F and clan member G,H,I,J,K and L to repeatedly report A and he is stuck in an eternity of godmode aimbots.

The whole "confirming" thing simply doesn't work in the DayZ community. The CBL is a clear example of this.

The whole "confirming" thing simply doesn't work in the DayZ community. The CBL is a clear example of this.

yeah that might be aproblem but player needs evidence to show they are hacking like video or screenshot yeah i can see a problem with that no hacker provention system is perfect Edited by Tumoa

No.

Cheater pool is a bad idea. Cheaters WANT to have an advantage over normal players or make normal players rage. Putting them in a pool won't help anything, banning them is the only option

How do you prove someone is hacking with a screenshot though? Unless they're flying or something...

yes no clip you can prove with screenshot god mode not team fortress 2 has video capture thing that can prove someone is hacking and lol must be nightmare if you get false positive with this type of hacingpovention system hackers hackers everywhere

I dint think CLB was such a bad move. There were some flaws, but ultimately it's failure is mainly down to some unfortunate circumstances.

But I do agree that a vote system can be exploited and that's why a fully operation appeals system is needed.

I thought this was stupid when it was first announced, it just doesn't work. Cheaters don't want to play with other cheaters, if they did they would be playing on servers with BattlEye, Punkbuster, VAC etc disabled in the first place and wouldn't be a problem for everyone else. They will just buy new keys and continue cheating anyway so might as well ban them entirely.

What every game needs:

- Designed to be as secured/locked down as possible, with as many things handled server side as is feasible.

- A decent third party anti-cheat service (VAC, PB, BE etc, it's debatable which one is the best since everyone always complains about whatever is chosen anyway, maybe a combination like RO2 used?

- Statistical analysis/logging of player data and automatically red flagging unusual ones for further investigation/bans.

- Good admin tools (Nothing beats good admins for tackling cheaters, IMO the benefits far outweigh the risk of abusive admins, although I do acknowledge DayZ is rather unique with its hive structure. In most FPS games spectator mode, demo recording etc should be standard)

- Some way to report cheaters effectively (I've seen so many games try this but always fail, personally I would even pay a subscription for a reporting system that works, where players are investigated and banned if found to be cheating in a timely manner, this is probably a huge logistics issue but there is nothing more frustrating then a blatant cheater with 1000+ reports made on them yet they remain unbanned for months)

- A wall of shame for known/banned cheaters (mainly so I can poke fun at them, pbbans is great for this)
