Private hives don't share the same information. So say I log onto "Butter and Eggs - Private Hive" and get loot etc. Then later I log onto "Airplane crash - Private Hive" I won't have the same loot as the last server. I would start a new survivor instead.

But some private hives share the same info. But that's usually a whitelist server. My suggestion is to stick to one server.

i thought every server which is a no "PRIVATE HIVE" server shares the items... the problem is iam playing from germany and i play @ night... this means 1-2 player on the server. would be good to find a EN / ger server where i can switch =).

so "whitelisted" private hive server shares items ?

and every regular server shares items ?

Regular servers (non private hives) share the same items. Private Hives do not.

It really depends on the servers and whos hosting them. They can have the private hives or whitelist servers they own, can share items or not.

Like right now I play on a whitelist server called "bmrf" They have 3 private hive servers, and they all share the same information/items. Like I said, it depends on the host.

1 tip I wanna give you, don't get attached to your gear, you're already dead in DayZ. It's only a matter of time.

All regular servers share items,

Some private hives share data most not.

Hi SkenteR, welcome to the forums.

Useful information:

You can use different launcher programmes such as Six Launcher and DayzCommander. I use Dayz Commander, which I find easy and quick to use.

A hive is a group of servers that are linked. So when you play on any of them you keep the same avatar, the same loot and remain in the same place that you last played.

The official hive has lots of servers that are linked, So they all run the Chernarus map and you keep the same avatar and same loot across all of them.

There are lots of Private Hives (that means lots of groups of servers) Servers in the same hive are linked, so you keep the avatar, loot and location. But servers in different private hives are not linked. So you get to start a new life or avatar/character in each hive and only carry that character across servers in that hive.

Private hives usually have those two words in their title. They also have a cloud next to their server name.

The best way is to make a note of each server you join, if you can,
