Can't save my tent!

Recommended Posts

Title says it all, I can't save my tent! Whenever I scroll over it, the Save option doesn't appear but all the other ones (Rearm , Pack Tent and Gear) do.

This is a real problem right now as I can't switch my gear from it!

Now to avoid the obvious with the latest 1.7.4.4 patch update, here are some clarifications that should narrow it down to the possible problem:

-NO, I have not placed my tent on concrete, or urban areas whatsoever. The tent is nicely hidden out there in the wilderniss.

-I can't launch DayZ from the ARMA 2: OA directory (ARMA 2 beta patch gets stuck to version 95248 for some reason, despite updating it from DayzCommander), instead I have to launch from the ''Launch Arma 2 Beta Patch'' option in order start the game with the right version. See the links to see what I meant:

-In the expansion tab on the menu of Operation Arrowhead, I think you should also be able to enable the Expansion and Beta, both are missing here right now (see some of the uploaded photos for more info)

If any of you guys have any possible solutions to any of these problems or the main problem (inability to save tents), I will be forever grateful to you guys! :beans:

I don't think you have to save tents or vehicles anymore. Mine are still there after a couple of days and the new menus have different options on them, like fix left front wheel - so the save option not being there is deliberate, I suspect. I have problems with tents but they have always been inexplicable. I have one tent that I cannot access at all. I put another next to it some 10 metres away and it works perfectly. I'm sorry I haven't more specific and useful advice.

The save option was removed from tents and vehicles.

It now saves automatically. I think it's supposed to prevent duping more or less. Or at least make it harder.

So if I were to put my a gun in the tent and just leave it there, would it still be there after a server restart? Are you 100% sure bro? :(

I just placed a tent with a single item in it, waiting for server restart. Usually if the first restart deletes the item, the tent is usually okay after that.

[Edit] Server restarted, saved the item.

It was in the changelogs. So yes.

You should always test it out with a bandage, before you test it with your NVGs and DMRs.
